I had this game a long time ago. I played it to death and found every secret, red coin (even the extra one in one of those levels that isn't supposed to be there) and flower. I played this game until I was ten, and my house was robbed. I lost my SNES with every game cartridge, and my family wasn't exactly wealthy so we couldn't afford another one. Fast forward to about two weeks ago. I get a notification on my 3DS about GBA games to download, and I see Yoshi's Island. Brought a tear to my eye.

@Murphys2908 Sorry man, Nintendo has no plans to release this on the Wii VC. Apparently the Super FX 2 chip included with the original game cartridge and required to play the game is too difficult to emulate. I myself got tired of waiting and went out and bought a Super Nintendo and this masterpiece. Ah, nostalgia.

The most disgusting video game death in my opinion has to come from Super Metroid, specifically when Samus "pushes" Crocomire backwards into a pit of lava (or maybe it's acid?), making the player watch its flesh melt away as the monster writhes to death. That was hardcore.
