@Skipas750 If you didn't need to watch the conductor, he wouldn't be there. You really should be looking up every few measures and at any parts of the music where there are time changes or difficult rhythms. He's there to keep your band playing together and sounding nice.

On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give them a 5. The energy just isn't there. And EVERY single time a solo is coming up, the melody is flat. The brass is playing far too choppy. They need to fill the notes and bring the feeling through. I'm a brass player. I play everything except French horn and I'm extremely disappointed at how out of tune the tubas and tenor saxes are. As an overall group, you need to fill the notes and emphasize the soloists when they're up.

@jck1794 When you raise your eyebrows, it keeps you from pinching your lips, which stops the notes from getting sharp as you climb higher. At least, that's how it works with brass. =P
