  • Those of you having issues with the thing blinking at you and not working, unplug it. There is a very small computer circuit board inside these things that control the brewing program. Much like a computer, sometimes they can crash and stop working.

Unplugging it for a bit is essentially like rebooting a computer. Plug it back in and then try it and see if it resets itself.

  • this actually worked for me! Saved the morning!

  • @JustMetheShredder: it worked for me for a year and a half. Until I bought descale powder sold online and used that. After four years, it went in the trash and I bought a Mr Coffee Keurig.

  • @ChrisNZella: Try holding BREW until it pours. It may be clogged so be sure to clean the needle first with a toothpick.

  • what a BAD idea for a coffee machine. how much plastic crap do you want to leave on the earth your grandkids for each cup of colored, sweetened water you drink over your life?

  • @MrCoffeeandWine If you use a Ekobrew or Solofill you don't leave non-biodegradable waste with every cup and you save money to boot. Not only that you can get your own beans and do your own grind.

So, the machine itself is not a bad idea. Using K-Cups is a bad idea.

  • Mine won't brew at all won't even try to any suggestion it's two months old thanks

  • @justmetheshredder The main issues with these brewers are air in the line (Which is easily fixed like in the above video) or scale from hard-water.

You should NEVER use tap water in these brewers because it can be loaded with lime an other impurities that will clog or scale your machine to the point it won't work correctly.

Always use filtered water or go pick up gallons of spring water from the store.

  • Mine is b44 LESS than 1 1/2 months old doing the same except, only brews short with coffee in it, water pours out a whole cup fine... Clean it all etc... See this OMG... will be trying this in the morning! Was getting ready to throw it against the wall!!!!

  • That's a vapor lock (air in the line) oh and don't flush the hole in the bottom with water pressure. That's a filter. You will just be clogging it more with tap dirty water .you can remove it with needle nose pliers clean and press back in.

  • Oh my goodness, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!! I was just about to beat it with a bat until I saw this. It actually freaking worked! Thanks!

  • I kid you not, I actually had my Keurig on the back porch ready to go in the garbage out of frustration when I saw your video. I brought it back in and after I defrosted it (I'm in Chicago) I tried this and IT WORKED even though it's not the same model. Thanks so much for the post! My wife and I got a real kick out of this...

  • I'm about to use a hammer. My original MINI works perfect after 3 years. I have a new MINI + replacing a ELITE that won't work. All it does is all the lights blink at me. Any suggestions? I am still thinking about the hammer. :)

  • Take the unit outside, take off the water reservoir, take your hose nozzle and turn it to a straight full pressure. Now place it on the hole where the reservoir sucks water into the machine (the small hole on front left) turn the hose on, water will pour out all over the place. Do it a few times to blow out all the lines, it will be good as new. I have done it twice now, works like a charm!

  • wow my stopped totally, it has been sitting in the garage for 1 year, Keurig won't help at all cause I had it for 2 years and never cleaned it out. so I am getting it out of the garage and seeing if this works.

  • Is this a one time fix or do you have to do this every time?

  • @hotforit I have to do it about once a month. Otherwise it works normally.

  • Thanks so much for the post, I'm trying everything to save my Keurig, I'm going to try this too!

  • I was about to throw my s700 out the window! I can't believe something so simple actually worked! Thank you so much for posting this!!!!

  • Thank you! I'm on my 2nd unit........and it just decided not to work this morning........ Half asleep, I figured I'd google it...and found your video...and it worked!!!!!!! Thanks so much :)

  • I have the same machine, my friend switched over to tassimo b/c of the ridiculous amount of maintenance required to keep this thing working, u would think for the price u wouldn't have these stupid issues, but almost everyone i know, including myself has them. Hopefully this works for me, thnx for the vid.

  • What did you do? Squeeze it?

  • It worked for me! Thanks, you made my day as I need my CAWFEE!

  • great fix, wtf did u do?

  • thank you for sharing. worked for me.

  • I brought mine for Christmas last year and by January I was having this problem. I tried this trick and it worked for a while but the problem just came back. I ended up Calling the number in the manual and getting it replaced for free. So now I have two and plan on fixing the old one ..

  • Excellent! Mine was only spitting out a few ounces. Tried this trick (after descaling, declogging) and viola -- 12 lovely ounces poured right out. Thank you!!!!

  • I can't even get the menu light to light up!

  • I tried this on my old unit and it killed it. The pump was destined to die anyways.

  • It worked too. I was worried after reading about all the Keurig failures on the web, then I found this. Thanks

  • awesome!!! That totally worked!!! :)

  • amazing. would've never thought of this and worked perfectly!

  • Thanks so much for the video! It worked for us too!

  • Thanks for the tip! Works better than before now :)

  • Just tried this. Worked like a charm. Thank you for saving me the $150 to replace it.

  • I just tried it on our B60, ran a full water tank full and it seems to be working so far. Thanks.

  • @tl2175live: I'm assuming that's for an office pro model? I have a home brewer B90 at the office. If it breaks down totally I might replace it with a Cuisinart they sell.

  • I've had it for 3 years now. It did stop the issue sooner or later. Glad it's working for many. :)

  • AWESOME video, this fixed mine for me. It took about 4 cycles though, I almost gave up but glad I stuck through it.....THANKS!

  • We fixed ours by removing the water canister and where the little circle of filter is, is a valve that looks like a cross, we took needle nose pliers and pulled up on the valve and put the water canister back on, it brews beautifully now. My suggestion is not to remove the canister to fill with water all the time, leave it on the machine and bring the water source to it to not mess with the tricky little valve, the Keurig at our shop did the same thing....

  • @Dinamit0908

I have been trouble shooting for a couple of days - your fix worked! Thank you for posting.

  • @Dinamit0908 Thank you for that. I just noticed ours was doing the same thing. I love this machine but not sure if I will purchase this type for my Mother in Law. She loves ours but she has MAJOR issues with a simpel 5 cup regular machine!!!

  • there is a valve behind the keurig logo that gets dirty and causes the problem. remove the plastic top and valve and soak it in vinegar over night. also supposed to clean it every six months with vinegar.

  • I just did this and it worked! Not quite sure why, but I'll take it!

  • I shot some canned air up the rubber return in the water holder. It seemed to work for me.

  • Finally something that worked..what a piece of crap, but have too money much invested to pitch it out..thank you so much for the tip

  • @copleyjoy

mine was doing the same thing despite purging it, I noticed that when it would start to brew you could hear the pump make a hickup, I wonder if it is a water boiling problem that causes the pump to error. I set my water temp down and it seems to work better.

  • Keurig sucks. Think about buying something that has so many complaints and so many dissatisfied customers that we create videos to fix the piece of siht. JUNK. Save your money. Did I say they SUCK? S-U-C-K SUCK...

  • Interesting. I will have to attempt this tonight. It makes some sense, when I brew my first cup of coffee in the morning it will stall but eventually come out. It took forever this morning. The second cup, however, no problem. It must have purged the trapped air. Thanks for the video!

  • Mine same model as in this video broke down without warning yesterday. I made my 1st cup of java with no problem, later I attempted to make another cup and noticed the the lcd light where the clock and menu screen is was out, but the lights around the buttons and reservoir were still lit.

I had to shut the power off and on and it was back to normal, or so it seemed. Made another cup of coffee, no issues,. Now About 10mins later I happen to look over and see the whole machine dead no power.

  • I only had this machine for 11 months! I called them up and they are sending me a new machine. Great service... but damn from what i've been reading on their site from other customers and on line in general is that this model B70 is a lemon! Some people are on their fourth machines within 1 to 2 yrs! I gave one to someone over the holidays, telling them how great this thing is.. well now I'm embarrassed!! Well at least they do honor free replacements, but still.

  • @PatriciaSmear do you know how to fix it? I have the SAME EXACT problem!! thanks!

  • They've had to replace two for me. I think there's a problem with their brewers, though they deny this. You need to call them. They will more than likely send you a new one. The problem is, sending back the k-cup holder from the old brewer as is required by keurig is starting to add up also. They need to figure this out as I love my keurig WHEN it works. So I've had to go in 1 year. When it doesn't, it's a far worse hassle then using a normal percolator.
