Should certainly think so. I run this on a humble ATI X1600 with 128mb ram. Smooth as silk on lower settings. Then again, I'm using an iMac C2D 2.0 T7500 (dual boot into Windoze). Oddly, windows thinks it's a 256mb x1800!?!? Go figure.

I have been having a major issue tho.....no matter what video settings i rin...my graphics card heats up a lot (~90-95C) which is really hot......when i can play COD4 maxed out and my cad never gets hotter than 75-80C

I havent been playing it for the past few days till i figure out whats up.

I'd rather have a smooth video without the very annoying explanations at the bottom and with lower settings, than maxed out graphics that make the outcome of your video suffer.

The story line is basically that a God of a world was banished.. and a council of gods opens a tournament of Demigods.. the victor will be transformed into an actual god. Each character has their own history. Other than that there really is no story.

Someone else noticed the game seem to have a bugged sound engine ? In late game when theres tons of units on screen (and sounds) my fps drop to 15-20. If i disable the sound it's more like 45-60 fps. Disabling the sound ingame usually give me 5-10% better framerate but not 300%, i wonder wtf there.

This game really isn't very demanding at all. I was able to run it on a laptop with onboard Intel Graphics, with all graphics options turned down and it ran great.

40-45 fps in 2vs2 ? Because i tried the game on a similar system and it drop to 15-20fps in 5vs5 games when theres tons of units at the end.

What up mate. I already played Demigod and the lag problem is not caused by FRAPS, is the GAME itself, it has frame issues during all the battle because it loads different things and ofcourse, there are a LOT of characters on screen. The BETAs didn't have lag issues. We should wait for a solution in the Demigod's community website or patches.

I will see what I can do with FRAPS.

interesting review. i kinda like that you let the game speak for itself. i'm a bit torn on this one, i hear a lot of good things about the game, but from the videos i don't know if i'll like it. maps look very sterile (would prefer more traditional maps like deserts, forests, jungles etc) and the maps seem very small like you state. i guess i'll wait for a demo and make up my mind then. so far i don't see a lot that justifies $40 for me.

Yeah. At the end, you say there's a small amount of maps, but don't forget that they've already announced that they're going to have DLC.

DLC means the game will constantly be maintained, and constantly have new additions. Meaning, it'll probably only get better!

Though the gameplay was smooth in your vid with very little lag...the voice acting is VERY annoying and repetitive.

I mean, you don't need to be reminded for EVERY unit that attacks a citadel. That's just plain annoying x.x

And automatically triggered taunts when there's merely 4-5!? WTF!? That's just plain stupid! Even in Blizzard's classics like Starcraft and Warcraft, there were not only more silly dialoges/taunts. But they weren't automatic! You got to choose when they talked!
