I'm trying to dive in the deep end of researching the history of jazz and happened on this guy's name. I love the sound he produces in an instrument I've otherwise, frankly, never enjoyed. Any available info about the artist is appreciated!
@jetelegen@jetelegen Dicky Wells wrote an excellent biography called "The Night People", about his early life and start as a musician, and big band career. It's filled with great anecdotes about life on the road. Amazon has it in paperback.
