The acting in this is worse then in platoon,and that's saying something.Penn was laughably bad with that accent,and constantly over emoting.Harvey who plays clark,the way he tries to look menacing is just too funny.And fox wasn't believable in the slightest.That scene after the cherry is booby trapped,and fox has this monolouge,while that cheesy music starts building up?Cmon,didn't you laugh?This film along with platoon are the most unintentionally funny nam films ive ever seen.Just awful

@yonatanabner Just voicing my opinion,you laid the sarcasm on a little thick there partner.You could start with a couple of kubrick masterpieces paths of glory and Full metal jacket.The original apocalypse now is very good,even though once they reach brando it gets to contrived and self-important.But, still powerful.I think had depalma got rid of that ridiculous score,cast the film better,it would have been pretty good.Its got an interesting subject,but ruined by bad acting and cheesy music.

@yonatanabner I can understand some people when they say in some films about actors ''He made me hate his character,so he was convincing'',but not here.I think this is penn's worst performance,he acted as if he was some cartoon villian.Looked like he was all coked out,his eyes just danced with blankness,and did nothing but screamed and mumbled in the worst fake brooklyn accents i ever heard put on film.And Morricone IS great,but this score still sounds cheesy,and cheaply manipulating.
