I think Abrams should bring Shatner back to Trek, but not as Kirk. He would make a kick-ass Cardassian, might even give Marc Alaimo a run for his money as the best villain in Trek (or sci-fi for that matter) history.

William Shatner is one of the most underrated actors in televison. Anyone who doesn't believe that should watch the original Star Trek. This guy throws himself into the role of Kirk so deeply, he probably slept in his costume! He did the same thing when appeared in other shows like Twilight Zone, Boris Karloff's Thriller, Outer Limits, etc. He doesn't just act the part--he BECOMES the part! Amazing!
