I too have Vitiligo over 40% of my body. It's really bad on my face and hands over the past year. You are correct about the feelings within. I'm currently 19 years into the US Navy and it has taken a toll on my self esteem. But as you stated God is the only way to make things right within. I have had vitiligo for 20 years! God has really worked in my life and I am thankful that he allowed this condition in my life. I agree with you about God healing you on the inside through Vitiligo. I was diagnosed with vitiligo four years ago and i became extremely depressed over it but i put my trust in him then that it wouldn't come back. When it came back on my face in a spot recently, i seem to have no control over my fears of the possibility that it could spread. i sadly admit i have stopped trusting in God for this. Lately, with the heat coming, I was strating to get discouraged, afraid of showing my half white legs and always wearing jeans thought it was completely uncomfortable. I was thinking that no one would never love me because of the way I look and was praying and praying again hoping God could cure me. But your video encouraged me! i have this smae disease i think. when i was little my mom bought me a cream nd it completely dissapeared but now that im 14 its coming bak and the thing is, is that it started showing up after i was in the sun. idk if it will keep spreading or what.....
@Segee even if you don't believe in this, it does have some sense to it, there is no cure for vitiligo and its a harmless cosmetic disease that does nothing to you, it is what society and your mental tolerance that it has affect on, if you a strong minded (through prayer, religion, or self of mind, etc) then vitiligo is nothing but a stepping block in life that you have to overcome and if some people don't accept you for it then thats too bad for them
I have it too, for about 6 years now and it is speeding up and spreading and I hate it. Ive always been overly concerned with my appearance and this really makes me feel unattractive.. But I must admit I am a little surprised that someone would feel like killing themselves over it... Please dont let it get to you in that way.. 10 years of vitiligo. I just can't believe it, that I have vitiligo since 2001 and it never gave me any physical pain like other diseases. However, I do cry once in a while, when I think about vitiligo. I am 26 now and waiting for my soulmate and hope that I will overcome vitiligo.

Amazing, Rich you are a beautiful person, inside and out. I have Vitiligo and have for 1 1/2 yrs. The Father has blessed me with His grace and wisdom. Although they say there is no cure, as you have said GOD HEALS ALL THINGS..... I have found a doctor in India that has a homeopathy treatment that has halted the spreading of the discoloration and has turned around the pigmentation......My hands have completely come back to shade. I had lost 80% of my face, I now have regained 50%.

Im very young and suffering vitiligo,and ive tried almost everything,and ive recently been in total distress over it. I always ask myself,what if? What if i didnt have the desease,what if i could be normal like everybody else? @IWillSexU Thanks so much for writing. I am so happy to tell you that about 6 weeks ago I restarted UV treatment after an unsuccessful attempt 7 years ago which yielded no results. This time I put my faith in God 100% both for my health and finances (treatment is not cheap) and God has certainly delivered. My pigmentation has begun to return rapidly. Research! Research! The issues here are internal and not external (topical). The skin represents what's going on within. 3x Carrots, 1xbeetroot, 4xapples, 1xsweet potato and 1x lime - juice it all; drink this everyday. Use coconut oil on your skin and stop using lotions. Drink at least 2 litres of good water everyday - not fluoridated water; get a good water distiller. Cut out meat/sugar/all processed foods and go on a raw food diet. Wisdom, knowledge and understanding - not super spirituality.

Rich, I applaud and thank you for your courage and humility. I am in early stages of what I'm quite confident is vitilago and it is spreading quickly. The level of depigmentation is quite minor but visible (on my face, hands and legs). As it spreads so to does my anxiety about it as it is affecting my self esteem. I am in the process of seeking treatment though the prognosis is not unlike what you have experienced. While I believe God, my faith is fractured at best. What you shared, helps
@mav613 I can definitely relate, Since I posted this video 2 years ago I've experienced many ups and downs with my health and emotions. There is a verse that helped strengthen my faith and trust in the Lord. It's 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 where God says His strength is perfected in our weakness. When I allowed myself to be fully weak, vulnerable, and trusting before God...He lifted me up and provided to me His strength. Don't lose your faith, pray and God will answer.
@mav613 Living with vitiligo is very difficult and its easy to be consumed by it. I thank God in the past few months He's taught me to rely on Him more and more. Jesus says His strength is perfected in our weakness and I've come to learn when I pray to Him admitting that I cannot handle this on my own and declare I need Him....then His strength uplifts me.

Hi, I think your prayers have a result = an answer. I do suffer from Vitiligo and also I was praying to be cured. One day my wife had a call and it was her brother. He started talking about this doctor who says found the cure for the Vitiligo. I did some research about it and to my surprise I found the article and more information about it. I already have an appointment with this doctor on June, 2010. I will let you know about the results.

I used to hate wearing shorts and capris around school cuz i felt embrassed but i no its okay cuz GOD has just gotten in my head and just taking the stress off of my shoulders and when i look at my skin i dont see a bunch of embrassment but i see myself as a reagular person cuz i am soo thankful to God and what he's done for me!

I will tell you what i know, there is a cream and a tea work fine 1000 people bay it like me and is simple and nature.You need to put cream on the spots of vitiligo and go to sun 2-3h per day, drink tea 3 time per day i dont have pic of cream right now but i have some of thet tea at home and i can put it on. @1checker Thank you for writing. I agree! I hated the summer season every year...I never felt comfortable. This is the first summer in a VERY long time that I have worn short sleeved shirts. At times I even forget that I have vitiligo. How was this possible?? Honestly only through prayer and faith in Jesus Christ. He makes the IMPOSSIBLE.....POSSIBLE.
I have vitiligo and I started to cry when I heard you talk about it. It is almost exactly how I feel, however the only thing that is different is that I wake up every morning with fear that when I look into the mirror that it was spread. I do feel lucky though because my case isn't terrible and there are people out there who are worse off then I am.

Often times we can be so judgemental towards others & see superficial things that make us not want to befriend someone who is ugly or different from us, not realizing that God can humble us in the blink of an eye. So we need to look around & accept everyone for who they are & not judge because God is the only one who can judge us or move us. We are not our skin, or hair or clothes or what we drive or live in, all those things are superficial...it's about peace, acceptance, giving & loving.
You know we go through this life thinking that we are bigger than this life that God has given to us. Godgave his only son for our sins & we worship our looks, cars, clothes, other people & even ourselves to think that we cannot be moved, yet he sends us issues & problems to deal with through him & situations that humble us in our hearts & minds. Sometimes we listen & understand & at times we don't. Take what U have as a humbling experience & thank him for guiding u to him.

Most importantly we need to be thankful for our blessing no matter how big or small they are & thank God each & everyday for the breath of life. So those things we get upset about are far less crucial than things that could be bigger.
For someone with Hiv related complications that is what matters to them, a homeless person is concerned with their homelessness. A person with vitiligo is often concerned with the complications of having vitiligo regardless of who is in a worse or better position. Yeah we agree to be disagree, without being disagreable. Do you have vitiligo ? Are you a amputee ? Where do you relate in the conversation ?
Though your point is valid, u must also think outside of the box and realize that God has a plan for us all...and if you put your faith in him, he'll lead you no matter what you're dealing with. I cried my heart out when my cousin died (Michael Jackson). I have vitiligo too, but mine is not as bad as Michael. Michael's conditions are real. There are auto immune system diseases in the family tree: Diabetes, pernicious anemia, Multiple Sclerosos, Graves Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, so Michael is not a surprise to me. Lupus and vitiligo are real.

I got it when i was age 8 and now im 16 i dont wear skirts or shorts and its hard when its summer b/c everyone is wearing thin clothes im so embarassed and i feel sad when i see others i used to ask god why me and i used to pray everyday it hurt me when i didnt get any sign from him i lost my faith in him and in others and in treatments, i hate my self and i dont think i can ever feel happy.

my brother and daughter has this and we are grateful that it's not any type of cancer. Praise God for that. You are a handsome young man-your speech was tremendously uplifting. I don't know if it's cause this runs in the family but I've noticed this is more common than we think. I tend to not even notice the white spots...I think of it as spots on a dog or their own special tattoo making them stand out. I just hope it only strengthens a persons self esteem than to lower it. I have had vitiligo for 20 years! God has really worked in my life and I am thankful that he allowed this condition in my life. I agree with you about God healing you on the inside through Vitiligo. i also have vitiligo since 2003 ... and i used a herb daily for initaly few years .. it was very use full ........ my marks never spread ... i had 3 spots at the start .i left medicine .... i got a spot on hand ... now i take vitanmin B complex ... it not only stop spreading my these marks also it prevents from new marks ... in these 8 years i only have 5 small spots ....my 1% of skin is infected ... and these spots are going with vitamin B .. we can fight with disease

I was diagnosed with vitiligo four years ago and i became extremely depressed over it but i put my trust in him then that it wouldn't come back. When it came back on my face in a spot recently, i seem to have no control over my fears of the possibility that it could spread. i sadly admit i have stopped trusting in God for this. I just want to say it is powerful what you said and i admire your strength. i pray that i will have the same strength god has given you, to me.

Thank you so much for your video. Lately, with the heat coming, I was strating to get discouraged, afraid of showing my half white legs and always wearing jeans thought it was completely uncomfortable. I was thinking that no one would never love me because of the way I look and was praying and praying again hoping God could cure me. But your video encouraged me! @Segee even if you don't believe in this, it does have some sense to it, there is no cure for vitiligo and its a harmless cosmetic disease that does nothing to you, it is what society and your mental tolerance that it has affect on, if you a strong minded (through prayer, religion, or self of mind, etc) then vitiligo is nothing but a stepping block in life that you have to overcome and if some people don't accept you for it then thats too bad for them

I have it too, for about 6 years now and it is speeding up and spreading and I hate it. Ive always been overly concerned with my appearance and this really makes me feel unattractive.. But I must admit I am a little surprised that someone would feel like killing themselves over it... Please dont let it get to you in that way.. I was watching the MJ video showing his vitiligo and I thought to myself how good looking he still was and his skin pigment didnt change that fact! Its ok to be different.

10 years of vitiligo. I just can't believe it, that I have vitiligo since 2001 and it never gave me any physical pain like other diseases. However, I do cry once in a while, when I think about vitiligo. I am 26 now and waiting for my soulmate and hope that I will overcome vitiligo.

Amazing, Rich you are a beautiful person, inside and out. I have Vitiligo and have for 1 1/2 yrs. The Father has blessed me with His grace and wisdom. Although they say there is no cure, as you have said GOD HEALS ALL THINGS..... Im very young and suffering vitiligo,and ive tried almost everything,and ive recently been in total distress over it. I always ask myself,what if? What if i didnt have the desease,what if i could be normal like everybody else? It`s not very cheap but if someting help, it is ok...

@IWillSexU Thanks so much for writing. I am so happy to tell you that about 6 weeks ago I restarted UV treatment after an unsuccessful attempt 7 years ago which yielded no results. This time I put my faith in God 100% both for my health and finances (treatment is not cheap) and God has certainly delivered. My pigmentation has begun to return rapidly. Research! Research! The issues here are internal and not external (topical). The skin represents what's going on within. 3x Carrots, 1xbeetroot, 4xapples, 1xsweet potato and 1x lime - juice it all; drink this everyday. Use coconut oil on your skin and stop using lotions. Drink at least 2 litres of good water everyday - not fluoridated water; get a good water distiller. Cut out meat/sugar/all processed foods and go on a raw food diet. Wisdom, knowledge and understanding - not super spirituality.

@151soccer... we dont have a disease, we have a skin condition. dont ever let anyone tell u different, and to the maker of the video, my vitiligo is just like urs, in all the same places. i wish mine was gone to, but i have 2 beautiful little girls, and the family i want and the vitilgo isnt even an issue for me anymore either. sometimes i actually forget its there, and it is just as bad as urs!! thanks for the inspiration!!

Rich, I applaud and thank you for your courage and humility. I am in early stages of what I'm quite confident is vitilago and it is spreading quickly. The level of depigmentation is quite minor but visible (on my face, hands and legs). As it spreads so to does my anxiety about it as it is affecting my self esteem. I am in the process of seeking treatment though the prognosis is not unlike what you have experienced. While I believe God, my faith is fractured at best. What you shared, helps

@mav613 I can definitely relate, Since I posted this video 2 years ago I've experienced many ups and downs with my health and emotions. There is a verse that helped strengthen my faith and trust in the Lord. It's 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 where God says His strength is perfected in our weakness. When I allowed myself to be fully weak, vulnerable, and trusting before God...He lifted me up and provided to me His strength. Don't lose your faith, pray and God will answer.

@mav613 Living with vitiligo is very difficult and its easy to be consumed by it. I thank God in the past few months He's taught me to rely on Him more and more. Jesus says His strength is perfected in our weakness and I've come to learn when I pray to Him admitting that I cannot handle this on my own and declare I need Him....then His strength uplifts me.

Hi, I think your prayers have a result = an answer. I do suffer from Vitiligo and also I was praying to be cured. One day my wife had a call and it was her brother. He started talking about this doctor who says found the cure for the Vitiligo. I did some research about it and to my surprise I found the article and more information about it. I already have an appointment with this doctor on June, 2010. I will let you know about the results.

I used to hate wearing shorts and capris around school cuz i felt embrassed but i no its okay cuz GOD has just gotten in my head and just taking the stress off of my shoulders and when i look at my skin i dont see a bunch of embrassment but i see myself as a reagular person cuz i am soo thankful to God and what he's done for me!

I will tell you what i know, there is a cream and a tea work fine 1000 people bay it like me and is simple and nature.You need to put cream on the spots of vitiligo and go to sun 2-3h per day, drink tea 3 time per day i dont have pic of cream right now but i have some of thet tea at home and i can put it on. I hate vitiligo. and no, it doesnt help if i pray. summer is hell to me.

@1checker Thank you for writing. I agree! I hated the summer season every year...I never felt comfortable. This is the first summer in a VERY long time that I have worn short sleeved shirts. At times I even forget that I have vitiligo. How was this possible?? Honestly only through prayer and faith in Jesus Christ. He makes the IMPOSSIBLE.....POSSIBLE.

I have vitiligo and I started to cry when I heard you talk about it. It is almost exactly how I feel, however the only thing that is different is that I wake up every morning with fear that when I look into the mirror that it was spread. I do feel lucky though because my case isn't terrible and there are people out there who are worse off then I am.

@qtpie200 Thanks for your commment. You're right there is far worst illnesses out there than vitiligo. This definitely helps put life in perspective. I hope you are doing well and I will continue to pray for all of us with vitiligo.

I have the same thing as you and can't seem to find peace whatsoever, i used to model and for me it's been really hard because that was what my whole career was based on. But, i guess people like you help me along the way a bit, but still...

Often times we can be so judgemental towards others & see superficial things that make us not want to befriend someone who is ugly or different from us, not realizing that God can humble us in the blink of an eye. So we need to look around & accept everyone for who they are & not judge because God is the only one who can judge us or move us. We are not our skin, or hair or clothes or what we drive or live in, all those things are superficial...it's about peace, acceptance, giving & loving.

You know we go through this life thinking that we are bigger than this life that God has given to us. Godgave his only son for our sins & we worship our looks, cars, clothes, other people & even ourselves to think that we cannot be moved, yet he sends us issues & problems to deal with through him & situations that humble us in our hearts & minds. Sometimes we listen & understand & at times we don't. Take what U have as a humbling experience & thank him for guiding u to him.

The talk about things can be so worse. A person with HIV is diffrent than having vitiligo although there is discrimination for both groups.Arguing whivch is worst is insane. Thanking the most high for everyday is automatic for me ,but some with vitiligo will tell G-D to kiss his or her ass. The case of the deity humbling someone through vitiligo

Most importantly we need to be thankful for our blessing no matter how big or small they are & thank God each & everyday for the breath of life. When people sit around & be discouraged about thing they don't have, they need to realize that there is always someone worse off than U & this is small compared to someone who has AIDS, or who is homeless, jobless. So those things we get upset about are far less crucial than things that could be bigger.

For someone with Hiv related complications that is what matters to them, a homeless person is concerned with their homelessness. A person with vitiligo is often concerned with the complications of having vitiligo regardless of who is in a worse or better position. Yeah we agree to be disagree, without being disagreable. Do you have vitiligo ? Are you a amputee ? Where do you relate in the conversation ?

Though your point is valid, u must also think outside of the box and realize that God has a plan for us all...and if you put your faith in him, he'll lead you no matter what you're dealing with. The full observation is, faith. What happens to us in this life is Gods will whether we have AIDS, or vitiigo..understand the severity of each of these can be astounding, but realize, we have life..also realize that Jesus endure much pain & death for our sins. Who R we to not.

I cried my heart out when my cousin died (Michael Jackson). I have vitiligo too, but mine is not as bad as Michael. Michael's conditions are real. There are auto immune system diseases in the family tree: Diabetes, pernicious anemia, Multiple Sclerosos, Graves Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, so Michael is not a surprise to me. Lupus and vitiligo are real.

hi i like your video and its really touching. I got it when i was age 8 and now im 16 i dont wear skirts or shorts and its hard when its summer b/c everyone is wearing thin clothes im so embarassed and i feel sad when i see others i used to ask god why me and i used to pray everyday it hurt me when i didnt get any sign from him i lost my faith in him and in others and in treatments, i hate my self and i dont think i can ever feel happy.

my brother and daughter has this and we are grateful that it's not any type of cancer. Praise God for that. You are a handsome young man-your speech was tremendously uplifting. I don't know if it's cause this runs in the family but I've noticed this is more common than we think. I tend to not even notice the white spots...I think of it as spots on a dog or their own special tattoo making them stand out. I just hope it only strengthens a persons self esteem than to lower it.
