The first time I played this, I ignored the Spirit stat or junctioned a weak spell to it, and did just fine most of the game. Then Shockwave Pulsar happened... *shudder* Anyways, I love this music. Not a huge FF8 fan, but I will say the the music during the final boss phases is some of the best in the series, especially this one.

lion heart is the best strike ingame;it does a 17 hit chain combo of 169983 HP damage!

Breaking 9999 limit would make it super stronger but... it's ok.

@thextreme33 Actually, Zell is the only one who can possibly match Squall in damage output. you just have to have him on mega roids for strength, use meltdown on the target, and go apeshit with the two-button attacks on duel. But of course in order to beat Lionheart you'd normally need a long pounding time and to get an input average of .10-.20 seconds (.10 being the fastest time possible). So Lionheart is still the most efficient.

Conclusion: Zell and Squall are my favorite game characters eva

Anyway Zell can cause 1000000+ damage the best with a good timing for each move so in limit break: 1:Selphie 2:Zell 3:Squall 4:Irvine 5:Rinoa 6:Quistis(shockwave pulsar 10000+ damage) 7:Seifer 8:Edea

You've just defeated griever, it's looking beaten up, then it stops moving and begins to fade away, Seifer has just killed it and it at a point where he is hell bent on making up for his losses. You then fight him whilst this continues to play.

Not some silly, although interesting, theory about every event being an illusion within his mind. Believe it or not, Squall in fact killed a time controlling Sorceress. He didn't save a planet, he saved a universe. In my opinion, FF8 is one of the best games right next to FF7... I actually like it more than FF7.

I say that, both are amazing and probably shouldnt be compared, but one reason why 8 takes it for me, is the music, almost every track is fucking epic, wheras 7 the music is ok, but not unreal, only "Listen to the cry of planet" from 7 compares to 8
