  • I'm not too fond of Inception. Felt like a gimmick film made by a college student who just discovered metaphysics.

  • I had problems with this movie. The script goes on about 30 to 40 minutes too long and spoils the impact of the first 2 hours. I didn't personally like the production design. I realise what they were going for visually, but I didn't find it engaging. Cruise and Morton were good, as were the rest of the cast. There are some really strange lapses in logic in terms of events and character movitations. Not in any way a BAD movie, but disappointing.

  • Minority Report: Best Science-Fiction Film of the 2000s.

  • Avatar hate left and right. It is really pretentious at this point. Okay, Avatar was not a storytelling masterpiece of originality. But it was so visually and technically compelling. So enough hate please...

  • @TheRealNahre Avatar was a God awful pile of fecal matter.

  • @SlothGamer60

Perhaps you can do better. I await your film with great anticipation. Roughly $2 billion box office. I know, that doesn't matter. Only art house Oscar bait films made on shoestring budgets are any good I suppose. The Film Industry is a business first. And no other film has done better business. But alas, it's all personal taste. But for millions around the world, Avatar tasted pretty good.

  • All popular and successful things receive the most hate(Apple, Nintendo, Michael Bay), I get it. It just gets annoying at some point and comes off sounding like envious insecurity.

  • One of my favorite movies of all time!

  • I thought Tom Cruise told Jamie Foxx that he DOESN'T have to KNOW somebody to kill them

  • I don't really know how anyone can claim this is the worst movie they've ever seen or lazily label it as terrible. Stop being an uneducated hater. Meaning, don't jump to irrational conclusions, like hating it simply because Tom Cruise is in the movie. You some reasoning and save the unsubstantial insults for Twilight.

  • it's a decent movie but overrated in my opinion. It has a really ugly look, even though some of the futuristic stuff was interesting. There is almost no sense of humor. It's just not much fun to watch. That said it does have an interesting and clever plot.

A.I. for example was a lot deeper and more beautiful to look at.

  • Confused Matthew apparently has 3 accounts.

  • @olqutseg

You're a goddamn idiot, Samantha Morton HAS done movies after this, and is in fact one of the most respected actresses around today.

  • @arasace - Inception wasn't the last decade. That was 2010. Avatar, on the other hand, was 2009, so it was. Even still, you can argue that stuff like A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Children of Men, District 9, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, or WALL·E was still better.

  • This is my date, Roger Ebert. I look as good

  • best sci-fi film of the decade, way better than Avatar and inception

  • @arasace Although Avatar and INCEPTION are both great. Avatar was great (despite the cliched story-line), and INCEPTION was brilliant

  • @arasace I concur..Amazing Movie.

  • @arasace Inception isn't in the same decade

  • @arasace Minority Report is WAY better than Avatar, but doesn't evan touch Inception.

  • @arasace Minority Report is a better film, but inception is in a separate decade

  • @onepurpose315 True everyone list inception as one of the best of the decade, but 2010 isn't even apart of the 2000's. I mean is 2000 considered apart of the 90's. i don't get it. :)

  • @olqutseg That's funny, because I think that Jurassic Park ended WAY too abruptly, especially in comparison to the original novel.

And "the woman pre-cog" has been in LOTS of stuff since "Minority Report". In the years since, Samantha Morton has been Oscar-nominated for "In America" and also appeared in acclaimed films like "Synecdoche, NY" and "Elizabeth: the Golden Age".

In short, every word of your post is a lie.

  • this was the worst movie ive ever seen.

  • Excellent movie. Minority Report and Serenity are probably my favorite sci-fi films.

  • Sci-Fi movies often take place in the future, or in alien worlds. But the best ones make an attempt to force us to look at ourselves as human beings, in my own opinion of course. And non Sci-fi / Fantasy lovers just don't get it.

  • the movie is ok but there are some parts like when he catches the guy who he thinks killed his son are emotionally wrenching...the movie is very dark from the very beginning when that guy is going to kill his wife with scissors...its like a horror movie

  • I actually consider this Spielberg's best film.

  • This movie was great, not just good.

  • I prefer watching other genres it was okay but not great.

  • iono what you guys are talkin about, cause this was one of the best sci fi movies of all time. Up there with Star Wars, 2001, or Blade Runner.

  • @tigerjonn I agree. This movie comes on tv all the time and I watch it. One of my favorite Tom Cruise movies. Outside of that, the visuals displays in the movie are top noch!!!!!

  • @tigerjonn Star Wars is nunt special!

  • @tigerjonn they loved it though?

  • @KelanDWood i was talkin about the people who were hating on the movie in comments...

  • @tigerjonn oh ok.

  • The movie was good. Not great. Certainly not worth slobbering over like these two are.

  • I didn't really like this movie.

  • roeper is just a fanboy critic, barely able to summon up any significant points when actually debating other than some obvious adjectives.

  • @arkantoxic I don't think they NEEDED to debate!!! They BOTH loved it!!!

  • I really found the future not realistic and didn't like this movie

  • i loved this movie....as much as i hate spielberg and all the hoopla around him....this movie was brilliant, infact the only psy fi ( if that is how u spell that) movie that i liked...my only problem was the week ending...

  • Brilliant movie!

  • This movie was confusing to me at first, but now I got it

  • one of the best science fiction films!

  • They don't mention the weak ending.

  • This review is missing something... oh yeah Confused Mathew's whinning. LOL.

  • I love Tom Cruise

    Just sayin

  • @ilovepanslabyrinth . i hate comments that end with the phrase "just sayin".
