@survivor764 Diesel. At first you need to install something that generates or lets vacuum trough as soon as you let go of the gas pedal. THen its just one hose away from an dumpvalve.

if noobs are wondering, the fins change the sound, note the 1st is more of a woosh with no whistle, the second is a blend of the woosh and whistle, while the 3rd is a fast snappy whistle. It just depends on what you want.

If you knew that, then other sound thats just off the turbo is the wastegate. That also makes a sound similar to what a BOV sound can make.

What a waste, there is no point putting a BOV on anything with a stock turbo or running under 20psi. I work for Subaru and see BOVs on WRXs and STIs that still have the stock turbo. Listen, these cars are designed to recirculate some of that boost pressure back into the system. So if you go putting a BOV and you dont have a giant fucking turbo, you are slowly damaging your motor. Like running it lean.

When u let off the gas the computer throws more gas in the motor so when it recircs the air is there to burn it, when u vent to the atmosphere the comp. sends this extra gas expecting the air to be there and when its not it runs RICH and eventually fouls ur plugs, thats why it bogs/dies (idle surge), too much fuel (RICH) and not enough air. But what do i know right? ur the one that "works for Subaru", I've just worked on cars the last 22 years!

The WRX & STI for sure, as well as the MazdaSpeed 3 all use recirculation. I'm not sure about any other cars though. A quick google search of the specific year, make and model would probably be the best bet. If it were me i'd hit up a performance forum for your specific car, trust me they're out there. And people will help out. Just be sure to use the search function on the forum first before posting.

The last fin tested (option fin) doesn't sound like this video when I installed my ssqv3. It totally masks the sharp chirping sound.

To make the sharp chirping sound louder and sharper, go for the gold fin. It looks like the default fin (shown second in this video), makes the sound louder, and sharper due to a sleeker angle fin.

PS: The fin is just a piece of plastic that costs 10 times its production cost.
