By 'it works', I mean super well. It seems most of our mind has a map of reality unaffected by our programing and we can get past indoctrination and manipulation, very well. Affirmations are very weak, but maybe they help unblock the way to our deeper and much more powerful mind, the mind that uses a non verbal language, but it will translate it into words and thought.

I find that what Jesus taught gets us this connection with the whole mind. Some of the rules are common to most spirituality, forgiveness, not judging, thankfulness and the like.
