  • Nick at Nite now shows reruns that you can find on other channels... I was hoping TV Land would show all the Nick at Nite Classics, but that's rare to find any classic shows on there... We need a Nick Rewind channel with classic Nick and Nick at Nite!

  • Back when Nick at Nite was classic....

  • You have to consider the intellectual property rights to using tv shows, then shows that have music tracks in them.

Example: The show All That has a musical guest singer at the end of the shows and All That does air on TeenNick these days (Mid 2011). The music performance is cut off and commercials are extended.

  • They REALLY need to bring these shows back. I LOVED watching all the OLD classics!

  • I loved Dixie the Flying Pixie. I had to google her to find her name, I had no idea of her name until Google. Now if only people would post better Nick at Nite commercials, I like the old reteo tv with the line up.

  • Thanks For the Dixie~

  • I used to watch I Love Lucy, Bewitched, and I Dream of Jeannie on nick@nite. It makes me feel old when I see shows I feel I watched just a year ago on it now.

  • its weird growing up nick @ nite had shows from 20-40 years ago now it has shows from 5 years ago. although they jsut started showing Married with children and that started over 20 years ago. I like Goerge Lopez but i wish they showed a lot more older shows.

I may of been a kid but i then but i actually loved watching mister Ed and I love Lucy with my mom at night. I also remember when wonder years started i watched the whole marathon that week , never watched it before that.

  • I remember Block Party Summer! Oh, the memories.

  • Ahhhh, I remember the Block Party Summers. I wish Nick at Nite was back. TV Land is okay but some of the newer shows they have are just not as good as the old classics.

  • Anyone else catch the part where they tried to turn ordinary peoples lives into sitcoms and it failed? Sounds a lot like today with all these stupid reality shows. Oh how far we have come in just a short time, please someone invent a time machine quick so I can go back to the good old days.

  • I've had the "1989 rerun countdown" jingle in my head since... 1989.

  • I, personally, am more of a fan of the newer version of Nick at Nite. It may be because I'm a teenager & this kind of stuff can relate to modern day drama. I'm not going crazy about the old Nick at Nite. Except of course, Mr. Ed. I'm an equestrian, so it really doesn't matter how old the tv show is, if it's about a horse; then I'll watch it. :)

  • MEMORIES!

  • Bring back the old Nick at Nite!!!

  • monkee mondays, lucy tuesdays, bewitched bewednesdays...omg those were the days...what happened?

  • @amberlanglois No kidding, they don't even air the summer block party anymore.

  • @CelticVictory OMG THE SUMMER BLOCK PARTY ahahah !

  • @SEATTLELOVER4 I really miss Summer Block Party, I used to look forward to that every summer.

  • @CelticVictory

-and the new years count down was great too. I actually loved when it took over nickelodeon and noick at nite was on all day. I was probably the only kid who actually liked nick at nite better than nickelodeon.

  • @trapadoored I'm sure you were not the only one.

  • @CelticVictory

maybe I wasn't. Nickelodeon sucked back then. Stuff like Double Dare and You Can't So That on Television and Mr. Wizard bored the crap out of me. (although Danger Mouse and Dukula were pretty cool)

  • @trapadoored I liked Double Dare and all the old games shows. Although, I didn't like Eureka's Castle. I miss Nickleodeon, but Mr. Wizard was before my time.

  • I was born in '88 but thanks to Nick at Nite, I'm fortunate enough to know what good tv was.

  • 0:46 The Do It Yourself Sitcom Search....In which real viewers lives were turned into sitcoms....Hmmmm...doesn't that sound like something that's popular NOW that was a total FAIL back then?! Man, I miss the old Nick at Nite.

  • did they ever have "the andy griffith show" on nick at night?

  • i miss this :(

  • I miss nick ant night like this Now that is real classic tv not the crap they show today

  • Lucy Tuesdays. Good times! I miss it

  • not anymore

  • what happened to that ice cream commercial where the lady gets fat

  • While it is indeed sad to see how much Nick at Nite and TV Land has fallen, the good news is that the evolving technology (DVD, internet, etc) has made it possible to still watch these classic tv shows. I Dream of Jeannie? Bewitched? The Dick Van Dyke Show? The Andy Griffith Show? I Love Lucy? The Munsters? No longer seen on Nick or TV Land. BUT thanks to DVD, Netflix streaming, and internet sites like youtube, I can see them anytime I want.

  • @classicphile I agree on the DVDS and internet a little. But, it's not the same. I had fond memories of watching NIck at Nite with my father back in the 80's and 90's. Those were my best memories! RIP Dad.

  • @maccafan1974 I agree its not the same. I grew up in the 1970s-80s (born 1969) watching syndicated reruns of all sorts of classic tv shows on the living room 25 inch color tv (the only tv we had in the house, unlike today where people practically have a tv in each and every room), and a part of me does indeed sometimes miss sitting in that living room watching them on the the old rabbit eared antenna tv (no cable tv back then), with commercial interruptions. :-)

  • How come they sing Nick@Nite's 1989 rerun countdown and then you can see Casey Casem a few moments later standing in front of "Nick@Nite's 1991 Rerun Countdown?"

  • i remember nick@night it was all good now it sucks, what happen to good tv now of days, this new age really went down to shit. pardon my french

  • who played dixie the pixie?

  • Back when nick at nite was worth watching. Now it should be called crap at nite because that is what they show. crap.

  • Nick at night is trash now. Alll it is is stupid 90s shows and shows from what 5 years ago!!

  • every morning I wake up at 6 am and nick at nite is still on. i watch family matters

  • Always had a thing for Trixie the Pixie.

  • @thespotrocks Thought she was Dixie!

  • @u2ups OK- Dixie the Pixie. Either way, I had a crush on her.

  • yeah i hate how MY show got put off my show came on n@n in october of 08 in june of 09 they took away my show and it was a good show dang i hate n2n now!!!!!

  • The "Do it yourself sitcom" at 0:43... is that like reality tv? It was a bad idea then, it's a bad idea now. I miss Mr. Ed, and I Love Lucy. And Dick Van Dyke.

  • TV Land is indeed the disappearing network...they put up this great promotion for a new series coming, like say, "3rd Rock from the Sun". They have a great weekend marathon, run it into the ground, put it on during prime-time, then bury it at 4am...all this in about 4 or 5 months. Then it's gone!! No show ever lasts too long on TV Land, except their crappy reality shows. I heard the network president's grandmother loves Gunsmoke and that's why it's been on for 20 years. UGH!

  • what is nick at nite

  • Just read "Friends", is Nick at Nite bound in 2011! SMH.

  • these 2 networks are moving way to fast like tv land really is 1 just shoot me! wher'd it go ? it's not a classic but where Did it go? 3rd rock from the son? its gone too! cosby show? axe'd off to late night ! if cosby is why not full house? I don't know. and last but not least if they made the change for younger viewer's then why are old folks watching and not young kids two jersey shore!!! the end

  • @jjboy90 oh i think because reality tv is taking over that is why they took off the real classics but i dont like that they did that

  • true true but what i'm saying is that they can't a series on for then a month. execpt the really crapy ones.

  • TV Land is the disappearing network! "Roseanne", is in heavy rotation I like "Roseanne" but about time they get back to the beginning of the series by the third week Darlene is wearing all black.

  • what ever happend to murphy brown a may get a minus but it was on N@N then it to tv land where it was at * o'clock then it got moved to late night/ early morning time. where it went from ther is a mystery. all I know is that it went away to fast like other N@N and tv land will do here soon

  • I used to love watching I Dream Of Genie, Bewitched and Get Smart. Why don't they play the classics anymore? Every TV channel has gone down the tubes. Disney, the Family Channel and AMC. I actually remember the days when AMC used to actually play America movie classics and not contemporary crap.

  • yEA, nICK at nite is meant for the classics not 2days shpws

  • Nick at nite is meant for classics not this geroge Lopez, eveyrbody hates Chris, Malcolm in the middle, The Nanny, Roseanne crap.

  • NAN used to be good. Now they have trash shows. George lopez sucks. It is played too much. I hate the marathons. It is played to death like fresh prince was. I dont miss that crap show either. EHC sucks as does malcolm. And The worst is glenn martin. This is the dumbest show ever.

  • I miss old Nick at Night

  • I miss Kotter Fridays

  • OMFG !!!! Now a days nick at night is fuckkin George Lopez , the nanny, fresh prince and rosseanne ! All the classics are gone!

  • I agree.

  • Where is part 2?

  • i used to watch i love lucy and the other shows that came on

  • R.I.P. Nick at Nite....you will be missed

  • I think this whole "Reality TV' craze killed the atmosphere of what was left in having quality programming. Producers started pumping out shows full of people who can't act, and they behave like immature kids. We have too many channels these days, you would think there would be at least something out there for one guy to watch.

I hear that Nick at Nite and TV Land are adding some more shows later. Guess what? They are from the 2000s, so they don't count as classics, period. Stupid people.

  • Nice to know I'm not the only one who not only misses Nick at Nite's CLASSIC TV, but also the cute little jingles that aired during the commercials. I also loved the shorts, like "How To Be Swell" and "The Adventures of Milkman." And of course, the classic shows like The Lucy Show, I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, Patty Duke, and Dobie Gillis. Nick at Nite is unrecognizable today. Come on, George Lopez and Everybody Hate Chris?! Those shows are still new!

  • @elliottlover88 I agree! I miss the classic shows. They're showing shows from the 2000's. They're bringing My wife and kids in on August 30th.

  • @laurensunga ..'My Wife & Kids'????.....ouch...thats a MAJOR facepalm

  • @mariechaton

I guess they have a new plan at Nick at Nite-they used to show the best tv shows of all time and now they are showing the absolute worst tv shows of all time. Although I do like the Nanny, but I think they are moving that to TV land when my wife and kids starts. -come on now Nick at Nite-did anyone EVER watch my wife and kids?

  • I wish Nick at Nite was classic as it was back then :P

  • all nick @ night shows now are shows that are aired on other channels. i hate malcolm in the middle, the nanny fresh prince of bel air , full house and roseanne.i can tolerate george lopez family matters, and home improvement..Classic nick @ night is The Best!! please bring back the old shows!

  • full house and roseanne was ok but lopez and fresh prince are and were not good

  • @jjboy90 They took Full house off.

  • yes, yes, i know =p but thats exactaly when it down hill when there was nothing but fresh prince with the orenge sphear

  • they used to have growing pains too. I wonder why they took them both off?

  • i use to watch this all the time when i was young, between 9 and 13...me and my dad would sit and watch it,and i think why i liked it so much was because it was a way for my childhood to connect with my dads childhood.our favorites were taxi, lucy, dick van dyke beverly hillbillies and of course the adventures of superman!! :-)

  • the old nick at nite had the best shows, I dream of jeanie, bewitched, the mary tyler moore show, dragnet, I love Lucy, three's company, that girl, etc, you would watch like 10 different shows in one night. Now they got shows that to me personally just aren't interesting and way too new I can't believe George lopez and roseanne qualify as classics now.. the old nick at nite made young people like me appreciate shows from the old days. and TV land sucks now.

  • Yeah I agree bro. I loved the Munsters and the Addams Family, Gilligan's Island, and I'd like to see Mr. Ed.

  • passthetestlastnight!! this is what makes you an asshole and a stupid piece of shit!! those words might be harsh, but if you honestly hate the old tv shows, then you only looked this up and clicked it to start a fight!and if you DO like the old shows, then you only said that to start a fight! your a moron...and as far as tv land is concerned,if you knew anything you'd know that even they stopped showing them unless your up at 3 am!!

  • or 12 o'clock mts time

  • PLEASE can someone help me with the commericla that was on Nick at Nite I believe - it was a song that went "Though we've gotta say goodbye, for the summer" and had a harmonica or whisteling for the rest of the commerical, and it went over shots of a kitchen (I think it was a KFC commerical or something to that effect). Any help would be appreciated!

  • How I miss the old Nick at Nite and TV Land! Back in the 90s when I was a little girl and got sick my mother would stay up with me and and let me drink soda and watch this channel. That was a big deal for me, haha. Now that I'm an adult I look back at the past 20 years and realize how far downhill these channels have come. Where are the classics? Stuff that sits in the vault for 20-30 years? Where have those shows gone? Now they show reality shows and shows I can see on any other channel.

  • all they need to do is make a new channle for these shows then they could have their cake and eat it two

  • I love Dixie the Nike at Nite Pixie. I'd like to tell her, "I'll watch Nick at Nite, but only if you sit with me on the couch to watch it." LOL

  • I applaud you for posting your opinion. Nick at Nite was once creative, but fell victim to the violent currents and is now a shell of it's former self.

    It's just not good today.

  • Nick @Nite sux now...TV Land isn't worth watching as much anymore...I wish that TV Land would just show classic Nick@Nite reruns.

  • Nick at Nite sucks big time. Nickelodeon is in the same boat. They had so many good shows that you could learn and cherish from.

Today, it's not the quality of the show that matters. It's the quantity, the profit that the television corporations earn and how much of an ass these people think they can show to the otherwise tiresome audience. We're seeing stuff now that insults our intelligence more than it's giving us a learning experience and appreciation like how it used to be years ago.

  • OMG this is amazing!! Nick at Nite is a joke now, it's all George Lopez & Fresh prince, it's insane!! I remember staying up late every summer & watching these classic shows....I miss it : (

  • Oh I remember the block party summer. I miss that. Why can't they play the good shows. George Lopaz sucks and it's current. Also how is Malcom In The Middle classic tv, it sucks!!

  • Nick at Nite sucks now. All they play now is realality shows like She's got the look. I mean who cares!! When I was a kid like the early 90's they played Lucy, Brady Bunch,Munsters, Happy Days and Threes Company.

  • Comment removed

  • I can't believe what the channel has turned into now. When I first got satellite, Nick at Nite offered a variety of good shows spanning from the 1950s to the late 1970s. Now, it's pretty much endless reruns of Fresh Prince and George Lopez, all night, every night.

  • does anyone remember the brady bunch commercials about the lost brady??? it was a red head named phoebe and she was the fourth sister....anyways i've been trying to find a video for it for quite awhile and if anyone knows where i could watch it please let me know

  • The "Do-It-Yourself Sitcom Search" at 0:44 is rather ironic now. Jon and Kate, The Hills, anyone?

  • Thank you, no. Don't throw them back, kill them, stuff them into a cement kimono and throw them into San Francisco Bay.

  • BRING THEM ALL BACK!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh, I loved this. I enjoyed Fernwood Tonight, Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, Car 54, and On The Television. I'm 33 now, and recall fondly this network when it was good.

  • these are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I remember all of these, Im only 25 but the nick at nite I remembered were Mr. Ed. I love lucy, dobie gillis.etc...BRING THEM BACK!!!! NO HOME IMPROVEMENT OR ROSANNE

  • the woman singing sounds kind of like Connie Francis. Anyone agree?

  • They were going for an authenticity that is rarely seen, having music match the "feel" of the time period of the shows, I do indeed agree with you.

  • this is the nick at nite i remember, i dunno what happend! since when is fresh prince and home inprovment classic tv?

  • Home Improvement would qualify in about 10 more years, Fresh Prince in 15, both casts did well and Will Smith does great work, but not yet. Also, no excellent promos for them, either

  • nick-at-nite sucks now they had to the freaking nanny now i remember when i was like 8 they played a rugrats summer block

  • nick at nite sucks now the replace the good nick at nite logo to nick orange

  • Man, N at N was the best as well as TV Land. Now, it sucks. It went downhill big time in 03. It's been crap ever since.

  • Casey Kasem rocks! Shaggy! X }

  • Hey! I love Home Improvement, lol. I remember getting to stay up late (10:00! lol) on Mondays after 7th Heaven to watch The Munsters.

  • *sighs* TV just isn't what it used to be...

  • Sometimes I miss when the logo consisted of "Nick at Nite" instead of Nick @ Nite."

  • i like roseanne, fresh prince, and family matters

but home improvement, cosby show, and george lopez suck

  • hey is cosby good roseanne ok home improvement fine familly matters likable fresh prince yuk! gorge lopez wannabe it was good when the globe was blue instead of orenge

  • I agree with all I grew up watching this when I was a kid in the 90's now it just sucks nick at nite showing stupid shows like george lopez I don't watch it anymore now I watch wgn

  • exactly like wtf george lopez isnt classic

  • they should bring it all back anyone agree

  • agreed 200%

  • No no no, Agreed 1,000%

  • hi i am setting up a website and am selling all the old shows ie doug hey arnold rockos modern life fresh prince power rangers sabrina the teenage witch at affordable prices i have lots more and do requests if intersted please contact me the more interest i get the more likely and more shows i will get

  • Yes. Some people like comfort food. I like comfort TV. PLEASE BRING IT ALL BACK.

  • Ah, the good days of Nick at Nite and TV Land. Now they're trash filled with reality shows, shows that are still on the air and movies.

  • The '70s and '80s REALLY got the shaft on this channel. The average program on the channel today is from around 1994. I expected that Nick At Nite of today would mostly consist of '70s, '80s, and early '90s shows (with '50s and '60s on TV Land), but I was wrong.

  • Why have "oldies radio" stations playlist changed less than "oldies television" stations? If oldies radio followed Nick At Nite, I'd be hearing Vanilla Ice, Notorius B.I.G, Nirvana, and Dave Matthews Band on that station by now!

  • Is it possible to be nostalgic for a channel about nostalgia?

  • You look at this and a good majority on the shows shown in these commercials aren't even on the air anymore.

Such a shame too, since they used to put effort into making Nick-at-Nite a good block for adults.

  • Yeah but they don't cater to the adults now. They cater to the teens. April 2009 was Nick@nite's most successful month ever. They are not going to put the old stuff back on. Teens won't watch it. I couldn't imagine Spongebob and I Love Lucy on the same channel. It is what it is tho.

  • Then kids should just learn to appreciate those shows. I appreciate them now and I appreciated them when I was younger too. That stuff is REAL comedy not the crap that's on today. But has the target audience changed in 15 years?

  • I agree with you so much, I'm only 22 and I started watching Nick at nite when I was really little like 5 to 6 years old, and I loved it, I appreciated those old shows so much. There's no reason to say that kids now a days won't do the same if you just start them off early.

  • Ok honestly look how much tv land and nick at night have went down hill, nick at night, all they show is george lopez, family matters, and roseanne.

LOOK AT ALL THE SHOWS THEY USED TO SHOW........I wish they would bring back on some of these old classics.

  • i remember this shit from staying up late at grandma's house when i was like, 10 years old. Nick at Nite was the shit....now they pretty much play nothing but Fresh Prince (nothing against Fresh Prince but enough is enough)

  • Tvland came out when I was 11, but now I'm 24.

  • Tv Land came out in 1996 and I was 10. and now i'm 22.

    43:42

  • No wonder I'm suffering from nostalgia. It's not because of these old shows, but the fact that they actually cared about bringing them back on the air alongside the newer ones is what I miss most about 1990s TV.

Cartoon Network, Nick-at-Nite, TV Land, Disney Channel, they all went downhill.

  • so did nickelodeon and Nick Jr. and boomerang is going downhill. :-(

  • What I don't understand is how Nick-at-Nite turned to shit all of a sudden.

This feels as if I was watching something from 30 years ago.

  • Does anyone remember the promo from the late 90s where they say "Whats the big idea"?

  • Im sure if my sister was sitting beside me, we couold figure this out.

    "what's the big idea"

    LOL I hear it, it's a boy....

  • i love these commercial's. nice choices ( :

i like the "greatest moments in nick at nite history."

if you look at Jeannie in the left hand corner, it actually goes with the clip! they matched it up really well ..

  • Back when Nick at Nite was a block for adults, these days it's more for kids and the reason for that is because Nick at Nite was originally run by TV Land, now it's run by Nickelodeon. If the block will only have 90s shows, maybe they can add old Nickelodeon shows.

  • i hate the new nick at nite i want the old one from the 80's back when i was little it was much cooler back then!

  • i liked the old nick @ nite too

  • The new Nick @ Nite sucks! They don;t even have any shows that can be considered "classic" or even "old". They oldest show they have is "Cosby", and that's only 24 years old! Even TV:and isn't the same. Too many new shows, like CSI ans Scrubs. Those aren't really old at all!

  • i know it doesn't make sense those shows still come on tv they need to bring back my three sons, all in the family, bewitched, i dream of jeannie, the dick van dyke show and other old shows, and if they wont do that they should make seperate tv stations like one tv station that shows nothing but 1950s shows and one from the 60s and one from 70s and 0ne from the 80s that would make sense

  • Yes, that would make so much sense. Then, I'd have something to watch!

  • 1 It would eventually bother viewers to see repeats forever of nothing but "My Mother the Car, et al" 2.Too many other distractions like cellphones, RE: Apple applications,Nintendo, and girl-chasing, 3. "Pimp my Stall (Mr. Ed,)" anyone? 4. Under "Classic cartoons," does Yugioh qualify due to spin-offs? 5. Mary Tyler Moore wasn't hip or emo enough for today's jaded audiences, 6. Bed-hopping was hinted at, but never stated back then; successful shows like "Desperate Housewives" are nothing but.

  • In all fairness, David Caruso is (CSI Miami) one of a few actors working today that can stand up to repeated viewing via the Classic TV standard and qualify, his performances are sharp. Dean Cain's "Superman" and WB's "Smallville" benefit from stellar casting and work, also, as future classics. The biggest problem? No excellent promo commercials, like we have been watching here.

  • That was really entertaining. I'm still looking for that dancing squirrel though. I've seriously been searching for over 2 years now! If anyone has it, PLEASE post it!

  • I remember some of those stupid Nick at Nite stunts. Why was N@N "good", exactly? It was cheesy as hale.

  • Better than the`poop that makes up TV today, man. Cheesy? Maybe, but cheese makes many things taste better. Entertaining? You better believe it. Long lasting? Jack Benny, Dick Van Dyke, Lucille Ball, Don Adams, and Larry Storch set a gold standard that is hard to match now and their work still holds up decades later. They actually made audiences WANT to watch. THAT and many other reasons are why these are CLASSIC TV. Good? The template for what we see now -- SOMEONE had to be first

  • yeah they need to bring the old nick at nite shows back cuz there is way to much reality shows and they are getting played out

  • Good stuff, a nice collection of classic Nick At Nite promos.

  • when i was a kid around 10 in 92 and earlier i loved staying up all night and watching nick at nite back when they had classic shows. old looney tunes at midnight, mr ed, my 3 sons, dobie gillis, dick van dyke, dragnet. these old commericals bring back so many memories.

  • I totally did the same thing!!! I loved it. It was cool to see how different life was back then.

  • nick at nite dont show any of these good old shows anymore

  • Thank god, they all sucked. Fresh Prince is the best on nick at nite!

  • im sick of fresh prince i like the cosby show george lopez and the roseanne show on nick at nite now

  • fresh prince i can see but gorge lopez no the other 2 you great

  • "Many Insects have been preserved in amber the soildifed sap of Anicent trees."

  • "many idiots should be imprisoned in amber, those (hip & trendy modern) solidified saps of addleheaded (TV) execs." TRANSLATION: today's N@N viewers missed out on these shows and the current lineups ofN@N and TV Land sucks donkey balls; Who said the older stuff is too no good? Classic TV still rules over "reality TV"and Rosanne any day. I miss these shows

  • God, I wish Nick at Nite was still around. They might still be here, but in my book, They went off the air a long time ago.

  • Nick at nite is a terrible place 2 be.

  • I remember these commercials!

Oh, Nick at Nite, I loved you so much when I was a child. Now, you're terrible. You break my heart.

  • Nick at Nite 1989 count down. Soudns liek an annoucerment on an oldie's station.

  • It does to me 2.

  • My brother gets food stamps.

    and Nick at Nite suck

I'd call it Suck at Nite.

  • 2day's TV sucks. and there's on More Saturday morning cartoons and that sucks.

  • The response to the letters on the image was not correct, please try again.

  • I will and it's annoying. 6,863. I Hate 2day's Nick at Nite it's all a bunch of nigers.

  • New Nick at Nite Sucks. it's called Suck at Nite right now. 6,734. views.

    OMG. I rembered this . 402 cot.
