Two ways to record video in this camera are:-

Scenario 1:- No sound with Zoom.

Scenario 2:- Sound without Zoom.

Setting up Scenario 1:- Click on the Menu button followed by clicking OK on the Camera Menu. On the next screen make sure the mic is switched off.

Setting up Scenario 2:- Repeat the same steps as above except this time make sure the mic is switched on.

I guess they disabled sound with zoom as the lens movement would create a lot of noise while zoom was being used.

don't know if you figured it out yet or not, but you cannot film with audio and use the zoom on this camera at the same time (i have the same one).

you have a sp565uz? so, is it really good? do you recommend it? does it zooms in video and still records the sound?

it is an amazing camera for taking pictures! however, it does not zoom and record sound while taking videos, so if you're looking for that feature, look elsewhere. i have a digital camcorder that i use for recording videos...

es la camara con su zoom normal? no estas usando ningun lente telefoto???

esta cámara no tiene la opción de objetivos intercambiables, pero tiene un zoom optico de 20x,

pues ya he comprado la mia y en cuanto me llegue subo un video haciendo mi propio test zoom , muchas gracias por el video ya q fue este el q ayudo a decidir mi compra
