I have to say that this one was your best work LK, and you can really see the hard work payed off. @DeltaD36 Why should he? The desperate gag with Kamina character being the awesome guy of the series is basically 2ch material and forced. Other than that, it has a repetitive plot with constant deus ex machinas as plotpoints and undeveloped placeholder characters as the supporting staff. Add in unoriginally wimpy protagonist and you get mediocrity.

The mecha scenes are a joke; the bad guys rarely survive their first confrontation with the protagonist -> no suspense.

To answer your second question: I am that good. :) It is a popular choice to like Gurren Lagann nowdays as it is licensed and marketed up the ass.
