Nothing bad about it. You have to understand the fight between the Aiba twins started back at episode 13. It was always going. The invasion was put off for Shinya's self interest in his identity. I've always found most of the episodes in this series to be relevant to the plot. Not a ton of useless filler episodes. The fights were quick, so and so died, and it progressed. Story ends without too much blah blah, and everyone is happy.

@Shinya707 I have seen the series and there is a fair bit of pointless filler, I'm not complaining about the plot, I'm complaining that the majority of the fight is just them flying side by side with some cheap as movements made to look as though they are doing something.

I can understand that. Back in this golden age everything was mostly hand drawn, so, perhaps they needed to wrap up the show. Again, it was basically a second shot for the series, as the original bombed horribly.

@Slixer While I agree that a lot of this part of the fight, they are just flying across the earth. Though I always interpreted that as showing the viewer what was at stake during that fight. If Blade lost there then the earth was doomed. There wasn't any time left for a contingency plan at that point and the radam plants had already started to turn people into Tekkamen. Still I see what you mean, it would have been great to have 5 full minutes of full on fighting.

@Mattos7 I always thought this was the perfect end for these two. The fights between Blade and Evil were always very heavy on dialogue and character development. In this fight, Blade has to get to Omega NOW and has to get through Evil to do it, he's finally fully committed to bringing his brother down and there's nothing left to say between them. I always thought this fight was less about action and more about the emotion and sense of finality involved which it communicates wonderfully.

@PSPman128 There is a similarity since some of the designers who worked on Tekkaman Blade, also worked on a few Gundam series. But, the concept of Tekkaman Blade was developed years before the non-UC Gundams (eg. Gundam Wing, Gundam X, Gundam Seed) even came into existence. So, it's the other way around: Tekkaman Blade was the series that inspired the creation of many of the Gundam designs.

Question please, to those familiar with Tekkaman-- is the armor they wear something like powered armor, or is it more like the Unit G from Guyver; when they activate the armor, they actually BECOME the Tekkaman; the armor is more like their actual skin more than something they actually wear like a suit? I ask because at 0:20, Blade is feeling the gash in his chest like an actual wound to his flesh, and at 3:38, that is clearly blood coming from where Evil has speared Blade. Some help here?

Think of it like armored skin or an exoskeleton . Using the tekka crystal gives them the armor/skin, so yea you'd still get blood from gashes and stabs.

i was introduced to tekkaman (anime in general) when i was around 8 yrs old & i was absolutely ADDICTED to this.

DragonBall, Tekkaman & Gundam remain as my top 3 most loved anime. I dont know about you guys but manga is far more mature and bad ass compared to marvel & DC (stupid heroes wearing underwear outside their costumes, im not saying they are shit but it sometimes get silly). The Japanese version of tekkaman is more mature than the english dub, PERIOD.

Yeah, TB II was pretty shitty. It's a great rivalry because they're blood brothers and their powers are pretty much even. In most mecha shows, the rivalries tend to be uber powerful prototype mecha vs custom units
