gotta disagree with you....i think "G" for this song sounds more cheery. hearing it in "A" makes it sounds boring. BUT....thanks for posting it; finding it in "G" isn't easy on youtube

are you able to tell the keys just by ear? or do you use some type of computer software? there are a few songs that have weird key changes and i have yet to figure them out

Most of the time I can tell it by ear. If I can't then I have to go to the guitar and figure it out.

@rrdoran once you figure out the root chord it's easier, through chord progression, to figure out the rest. typical country root chords are G(C,D), E(A,B7), A(D,A,E) ETC...
