It's fantastic to see Dominic Armato speak with the voice of Guybrush :D Just like when I watch some episode of the Dutch version of Yu-Gi-Oh and hear Joey speak with the voice of "Redcat"* a.k.a. Dieter Janssen. It's just that it's a person with the voice of a character from one of your favorite games :D

I really love the way you can change the game back to the original without losing progress (my pc is kinda slow, so the parts with lots of water, like the outside of Scumm Bar get really lag, but I only press F10 and I can play that part with no problem using the original game and then switch back in other place :P).

Not likely and not needed imho. Curse is already talkie and high resolution too. The only reason for the new version would be compatibility with new operating systems, but SCUMMVM has got that covered quite nicely. The only game in the series in need of a remake in my opinion would be Escape, because its early 3D has really not aged well.

The Secret of Monkey Island the first PNS title I would return if I could. What a technical mess. Game freezes/crashes, audio glitches, INSANE loading times during gameplay even though it's on the hard drive, and best of all the game "zoomes out" so there are black bars on ALL sides of the screen. Great for screen burn. That a remake of a rinky-dink game like this could be released in it's current form AND not be patched is pathetic. Eat shit Lucasarts.

you know i have to agree with MiRyRE guys, you shouldn't be complaining cause you can switch back and forth, i think it's cool to see what they did and how they made things a little easier to see and imagine, besides if you didn't like the voices from curse and such then you shouldn't have both this new one and stuck with the old one anyways...but still thank you for doing this remake...now i can finally play this game i've watched my brother play while i grew up :D

I don't wan to to sound annoying and I am all in for innovations, but I like the old (graphics / music / no voice) better than this one. The original midi music is GENIUS!!! The old graphics and not having the voice really add to the fact that our imagination creates the game... The voices and graphics are too goofy witch is not the spirit of the original game! I was always so overwhelmed with the degree of realism that they achieved in the images on the original game.

well everyone said the classics were much better so I just finished this one (I'm gonna start the second soon) and to be honest it was not that special. It was much too short and the storyline wasn't that great. To be honest, I preferred the third and the fifth (though the fourth was disappointing)

Makes me glad I was born in 1990 :) I had a lot of time to relate to 2D games which is why it's easy to catch the charm of the older games as well. But kids these days, if they grow up with just 3D games with good graphics... they can't go backwards in the evolution of gaming and won't get attracted by the very roots of modern gaming, back when games were more.. profound, like e.g. MI series . At first I was a little iffy about getting it, i thought the animation was kinda cheap and the dialogue sounded a bit clunky and weird when read aloud. Then I saw the half-price offer and bought it, and I'm enjoying it a lot. The atmosphere is great, the classic mode feature is so cool, the music is amazing, the game looks good (animation's still a bit wooden though). It's awesome to have voices from CMI too! So, if you haven't got it yet, it's worth it!
