Unfortunately opera draws a relatively small audience these days, but people are hungry for quality pop music. this genre "operatic pop" seems to be the ticket. I saw them perform in San Francisco and they were absolutely wonderful. For being so young, they put on a show just like true professionals. Some people had flown in from out of state to see them. They have unbelievable talent, showmanship and sincerity when performing. It was much more than I expected. I wanted to scoop them up, take them home and cook them a homemade meal.
@cucavsqz Me too, I saw them in concert in Miami, they exceeded my expectations! I thought, since they were so young they would just move from one song to another, but no, they had a great sense of humor and made their playing around on stage hilarious, and we were all in on the joke! Delightful entertainers, I hope they never change. I do want to see them grow as singers, but don't change the heart of the group. They are already and will be even more so world class entertainers.

Il concerto sarebbe stato per Natale, ma io non ne ho trovato traccia. La mia opinione è che l'abbiano cancellato per motivi di sicurezza. Non so come potevano pensare di trasportare dei minorenni in zona di guerra ed esporli al pericolo. Poi fra l'altro è anche cambiato il ministro della Difesa, quindi è possibile che costui abbia rivisto i programmi messi in piedi dal suo predecessore.

@goperti A mio parere Piero è il miglior cantante. La sua voce è incredibile e nessuno si aspettava che a venire da lui. Io personalmente lo pensavo fosse la più profonda Gianluca Tenore, ma ora sappiamo che è Piero. Tutti cantano splendidamente, ma la voce di Piero si staglia sopra il resto.

He generally sings Operatic Pop, but can sing Opera. Both of his albums have gone gold in Australia, but he's not well known elsewhere. CALM DOWN, I DON'T THINK HE WILL EVER JOIN THE GROUP. He's doing very well on his own & evidently he would be too much of a threat.

Io sono italiana, emiliana di Modena, la città di Pavarotti. ^^ Lo so bene che Ignazio è siciliano, non ne ho il minimo dubbio e quel clip che mi indicavi lo conosco, è molto divertente! Ma lui conosce anche qualcosa del dialetto bolognese, garantito! Credo che sia normale se la sua famiglia ha avuto o ancora ha un'attività di ristorazione a Bologna. A volte alcune parole entrano a far parte del lessico familiare senza che questo abbia a che fare con la propria origine.

I saw them perform in San Francisco and they were absolutely wonderful. For being so young, they put on a show just like true professionals. Some people had flown in from out of state to see them. They have unbelievable talent, showmanship and sincerity when performing. It was much more than I expected. I wanted to scoop them up, take them home and cook them a homemade meal.

@cucavsqz Me too, I saw them in concert in Miami, they exceeded my expectations! I thought, since they were so young they would just move from one song to another, but no, they had a great sense of humor and made their playing around on stage hilarious, and we were all in on the joke! Delightful entertainers, I hope they never change. I do want to see them grow as singers, but don't change the heart of the group. They are already and will be even more so world class entertainers.

@goperti Questa notizia è arrivata almeno in un giornale italiano (non ricordo il nome) e siti web: E il ministro della Difesa Ignazio La Russa conferma che Il Volo saranno protagonisti di un concerto-evento in Afghanistan (RadioWebItalia). L’ormai ex ministro Ignazio La Russa li ha voluti in Afghanistan per un concerto evento (MondoMusica 14 Nov 2011).

Il concerto sarebbe stato per Natale, ma io non ne ho trovato traccia. La mia opinione è che l'abbiano cancellato per motivi di sicurezza. Non so come potevano pensare di trasportare dei minorenni in zona di guerra ed esporli al pericolo. Poi fra l'altro è anche cambiato il ministro della Difesa, quindi è possibile che costui abbia rivisto i programmi messi in piedi dal suo predecessore.

No, credo che sia stato (saggiamente) giudicato troppo pericoloso. Invece hanno cantato a Roma al concerto di Ennio Morricone il 4 novembre, giorno della Festa delle Forze Armate, quindi in parte hanno in effetti cantato per i militari italiani. Secondo me sono bravissimi tutti e tre: le loro voci sono differenti, e si completano a meraviglia. Credo che sia questo che rende fantastico questo trio. Ammetto di avere un debole per come Gianluca canta "Musica proibita" o "Tous les visages de l'amour", ma non mi sento di dover decidere chi è il migliore, perché ciascuno di loro lo è nel suo campo... baritono, tenore lirico, tenore spinto, direi...

@goperti A mio parere Piero è il miglior cantante. La sua voce è incredibile e nessuno si aspettava che a venire da lui. Io personalmente lo pensavo fosse la più profonda Gianluca Tenore, ma ora sappiamo che è Piero. Tutti cantano splendidamente, ma la voce di Piero si staglia sopra il resto.

@gusjet1 Hah,hah,this is exactly the type of reply I expected. The pivotal word was "guest" NOT a permanent member of the group, sort of like Pia T. Mark won AGT in '09 when he was 15. He generally sings Operatic Pop, but can sing Opera. Both of his albums have gone gold in Australia, but he's not well known elsewhere. CALM DOWN, I DON'T THINK HE WILL EVER JOIN THE GROUP. He's doing very well on his own & evidently he would be too much of a threat.

@gusjet1 I should have used the words "considered by some to be too much of a threat." Of course, he's no real threat. No one is. It's not only European charm it's a certain intriguing mystique & charisma that each member of Il Volo has in conjunction with amazing talent that makes them so fascinating. As a group they will go on to be world famous & very wealthy young men. Mark's a good & talented kid & he was just a thought I put out there for better or worse.

The three boys are just amazing. I love to watch them sing, I particularly love to watch Ignazio attitude when he sings, he has a great smile and shows he totally enjoys singing. They are all wonderful singers.

Io sono italiana, emiliana di Modena, la città di Pavarotti. ^^ Lo so bene che Ignazio è siciliano, non ne ho il minimo dubbio e quel clip che mi indicavi lo conosco, è molto divertente! Ma lui conosce anche qualcosa del dialetto bolognese, garantito! Credo che sia normale se la sua famiglia ha avuto o ancora ha un'attività di ristorazione a Bologna. A volte alcune parole entrano a far parte del lessico familiare senza che questo abbia a che fare con la propria origine.
