OWS, go to the frontline for this guy. We, as well as this guy, are the only hope for this country. We must stand the ground with this guy, as well as Bradley Manning, for this country that we love.
I find it highly absurd that a country that has never had it's borders threatened by any standing army is so obsessed with it's military. It is quite morbidly.
I think this guy is great, but let me say this, the army and military is about killing, is about destroying your enemy no matter what. No one should expect the army or military to be fair or equal or anything of the sort.
usually people who are discharged for being homosexual are discharged because they choose to use that as an out to their contract, not because they got found out.
why is it that men like lt choi never get to be those making the decisions and are always the ones subject to poor decisions made for them by men of less honor. Very sad that the worst of us seem to be filtered to the top in modern society.
(cont'd) The defense of Manning as a hero is questionable as it's clear much of the info he leaked was not about "war crimes" and in fact, some of it endangered real people in the real world who were put in peril. That doesn't mean I don't see the case being made, and that I don't really appreciate what I learned from the 'cables'. I wonder, can others on here see my point without bashing me? I'm actually interested in real inquiry here, not political propaganda.
Don't blend the cause of homosexuality with what's going on with Manning's guilt or innocence of the crimes he's accused of. It's a red herring. The real issue is whether Manning's disclosures of classified info can be defended by the 'higher calling' to the constitution and the laws of war that Choi cites so eloquently. I'm not sure Manning's actions rise to that standard, as much as I appreciate the content leaked. I'd love to see a real debate about the charges at hand, not homosexuality.

I find it absolutely absurd that Manning's sexual orientation is an issue here.
