  • Nice Demo. I enjoyed the video. This would make a great Science Fair project.

  • Thats a cool little design.Like Mart said I bet it would run good just off an earth battery.

  • GBluer----I will have to try that. The problem is that I have a very small patch of "earth to try it on. Most of what is outside my door is concrete.

  • @Lidmotor you could use pots with dirt in them, and the earth cells would be isolated.

  • @Wavefront101 -----I have thought about that but what I don't want to do is just build a regular galvonic battery like a lemon battery only using dirt. The way that I understand it, with a true earth battery something else goes on there. Back in he telegraph days they used them. I'll have to do some research.

  • @Lidmotor I've been trying to understand that for years. :) Thrapp talked slightly about how Stubblefields cell worked, I'll try and dig that interview up if I can find it. If I have it correct, he calls it dominate energy, and the earth cell could catch this energy. I Think Stubblefield's cells was like an induction coil which modulated this energy running between the poles.

  • i always thought it was abit of a waste to have a 2 winding coil when 1 of the windings is only used for triggering. (only 1/2 of the space is used for the main coil).

  • rroge5---That is an interesting comment. One of the reasons that I did this was to try out different ratios of the 60 ft. of wire that fits on the bobbin. The one in the video is 1:1 (30 ft. for each ). On other ones I have varried the ratio and it still works. If you use a reed switch instead of the transistor then the whole 60 ft. can be used for the drive coil. That makes a very very simple pulse motor. The back spike on that one is terrific.

  • Hi Lidmotor.500uA to spin that rotor which is a fair weight is quite amazing and on incident light as well.I wonder if you charged a cap with maggie, could you supplement the motor or run another one and youve got to try this with sec power.Nice work.Jonny.

  • Jonny---Thanks. I already know that 'Maggie' will run a SEC but I have not found a good way to let her help run the main motor. A cap pulser circuit of some kind might work.

  • very close to a ground battery voltage. Thanks for sharing.

  • Mart----Lemon battery???? Bagdad battery?? Your wind generator on a calm day?

  • great work, very interesting ,keep it up. thank you

  • One of the the best 1.5volt bedini style pulse motor I have ever seen. Brilliant.

    Regards Medi

  • Thanks

  • Hi. Can you run it for us with sequential window motor circuit? ?

    Thank you.

  • @medi40 -----That circuit applies to a "window" type of Bedini and it won't work on this arrangement unfortunately. The coils have to wrap around the magnet and form a window for it to run inside of.
