Crisis was MY 1° album of Mike, in fully 80's era. ♥ I was 14..

It was 1 of the last breaths of good air in synthpop music scene of those years. After that Discovery, IMO not quite at the level of his previous work.. and then we find him being fully creative again only in the 90's, but I was already interested in other ...

Good thing i went looking for Mt teide tonight because i got this too, thats fucking great, saw Simon Phillips at a drum clinic in the eighties, he played for 45mins like this,always wondered why the end of crises on the record was so pinned down, i knew it would have been done like this live, i saw mike in 81 in australia with a different band, great, thanks ..., i can't resist a dig at those shorts though.

Simon's drumming fits beautifully with Oldfield's music. Having them reunite now that Toto's disbanded would be terrific. When I got to see this in Würzburg I went with a drummer just to see how Simon would pull off the Crises solo. Not only did he pull it off, he surpassed it. And the entire night, he and Mike had this great rapport on stage.
