The good new is now the DSA have introduced a 2 km tolerance so you will still pass even if you only reach 48 kph (albeit with a minor fault). This has been introduced for two reasons 1. to improve safety on the module one test and 2. to allow the DSA to conduct module one tests on-road to help those pupils who have not got a local MPTC.
i am 15 i am going do a test for a scooter soon i am so fucking scared ;p i am from Poland but i live in ireland , Sure my english is pretty good but i might not understand what that test supervisor asked me to do etc ;/ plz any tips ;p ?
@Rodmaster144 SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY - DONT WORRY ABOUT IT IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND TELL THE EXAMINER, THEY ARE HAPPY TO EXPLAIN AGAIN - ALSO FIND A TRAINING SCHOOL THAT OFFERS MMA PRACTICE AS WE DO. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GO TO THE TEST CENTRE WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR AND PRACTICE ON THE ACTUAL SITE YOU WILL BE TAKING YOUR TEST ON, IN THIS WAY YOU WILL BE BETTER ABLE TO KNOW WHAT THE INSTRUCTOR IS ASKING YOU TO DO - HOPE THIS HELPS AND ISNT TOO LATE - GOOD LUCK
Hi If you have the one I recommended, when you log in you select which catagory of vehicle you require and the questions are specific to that cat. Make sure you did when you began using the disk because it is easily missed and the default is car theory questions.
The theory is not difficult if you prepare properly. The best way to prepare is to use the DVD rom . If you follow the training it tells you when you are ready to pass the test. We recommend Driving Test Success. Good Luck.
The test may seem 'shitty' and we all agree it's not perfect. But the training in this country is the best in the world for one reason - to keep bikers alive. I hope the training is as good in Cyprus, tho' I doubt it.
I failed my bike test today on the OLD Style Test,,now i have to book myself for the NEW Test and im not lokoing forward to it... :'-( now i regret not doing my bike test last year.... *sigh*
Thanks for your comments. The only stupid thing about the new test is the speed pupils have to reach to do some of the exercises ie HSAvoidance and EStop, if this were reduced to 20mph it would make the test safer. Our prices have not changed, and estimate that an experienced rider should be able to pass the test for the same costs as previously, however a novice may require an extra session or to in preparation which should only be £80 to £160 at the most with us at Ideal MT.
Well so glad i passed my DAS before this, And its a cheek its gonna cost extra money to, its expensive now, but its gonna add at least an £100 on top. But this part of the test is only going to cost a £10. and the ride on the road is still £80. but if you gotta pass this first before you are allowed to take the road part. Well glad i missed this.
Damn! Am i glad I passed my test last year and not now! I'm not sure I could even do that without a load of practice first.. P.S. reading the comments below I have something to add. There do already exist a number of schemes to help you cut your insurance rates, the BMW Gold award, the advanced test, the police bikesafe program... a lot of insurers will count all of these in their premium quotes, if you have the time, money and skill to do them.
Good point - the Enhanced Rider Scheme has been introduced to do just that reduce premiums for riders that take extra training post-test. Unfortuantely for valenaasci you have to pass first (lol) better luck next time!
yes, it is now going to be 27th April according to DSA Motorcycle update issue 6 ( we still don't know if the test will be split into modules but a decision is expected soon.
nice video

He should have failed as he let go of the bar on the manual handling before the bike had stopped moving... :(

Common misconception! No lose of control - not a serious fault.
