I didn't perceive them as a goth band for a long time, although I heard them a lot and I often refer to them as the world's best band. "Clown" is their biggest hit because it fulfills most clichees. But listen to "Into the Sky" or "Therapy" for a different feeling.

It was a business also at that time but there was a crowd that appreciated art even in the mainstream and even paid money for it ... how the hell should they finance themselves, their productions and ideas ...
