Stevie Nicks=a goddess among mortals. And I remember the day after MJ died one of our local stations held an all-day memorial. I'm not a big MJ fan, but I always loved Dirty Diana, so I called them up and asked them to play the hell out of it for me!
you should have the name of the band and song titles for each tune clip on this video so people know who sings what song with what band, just helping you out:)
That seems like a collection of some of the crappiest songs of the 80´s. Could it be that the maker of this vid comes from the U.S. where most of the great songs of this decade where simply ignored?
I was a teen in the 80's too. It's true we have lots more of the physical contact, (no cel phones) and that was fun, the music was great, rap was just beginning, I have wonderful memories of the 80's, of clubs, being in-love, friends, fashion, MTV! I wouldn't want to go back to the teen yrs, but i just wish I would have paid even more attention to all around me, I wish i would have exploited my youth even more! had more patience to choose a correct husband, learned more about everything!
@chartolman I think it is "Lay Your Hands on Me" by the Thompson Twins. They also sing "Hold me now" Plus, they sing the song "If You Were Here" at the end of "Sixteen Candles" (A Molly Ringwald 1980s teen movie classic!)
You forgot Peter Gabriel, the genius of the 80's!! Sledgehammer was elected "best pop video of all time" by MTV - and I think Peter Gabriel's "So" from 1986 is one of the best albums ever made , unreachable except probably by Laurie Anderson (who was introduced to me in the late 80s with the breathtaking duet "excellent birds" on this CD
I was a teen in the 80's. (Child of '68). And yes, we had a lot of fun, physical interaction, great music and small talk, but no money. Today we have plenty of money, no fun, digitally based interaction, and mostly crappy music. Oh, we still have the small talk, no doubt. Do I miss the 80's.? No, I just wish I was back... :O) Btw. Belinda Carlisle is the MOST GORGEOUS female of the 80's. Okay Susanna Hoffs comes very close, but the EYES of Belinda are beyond any possible measurement... Nice.
I couldn't agree more. And since you named these two lovely creatures allow me to name also our darling Kim Wilde, the heartbreakingly foxilicous Patsy Kensit and the French goddess Isabelle Adjani (even if she is an actress she had her moments in music, watch her video "Pull Marine" you'll feel so 80's).
I miss the classy debonair women of the 80's , i would jump anytime into the time machine.
@Tomulten what do you think of Facebook? Yes you do keep in touch with friends and family but it's no fun when you no longer know each other face to face and really see what you're really like
@snooki93 communication was not invented with facebook...we called each other and then decided to get together and actually go and do something together...people did stuff together that involved danger and exercise, no texting need and no cameraphone flashlight to make me feel that i am connected to something, we connected weith each other and felt close to each other, that was the 80's and the following generations have lost it..they lost that loving feeling and now its gone gone gone....
@ComiConPlus i fucking agree with you 100 percent and thats the way it should be still. The computer and the cell phone in my opinion cause more harm then good, way more that is. thanks for saying that i hate feeling like the only one on what you just said.
@WingitMan27 When we were young if something bad happened to the person next us such as a heart attack, they passed out or anything we leaned over and helped...today if you have a heart attack expect everyone to whip out their phones, make a video but dont expect help, they might call 911 but dont expect much more. The following generations have lost so much and dont even realize it. Take a look on utube about bill nye the science guy he passed out, noone helped, every one did cellphone videos..

@ComiConPlus i'm 20 but i'm more like a 30-40 year old with most shit. Youll get some people to help out but that word "good" is few and far between and well that's a dying breed of person over the decades. Its easy to fix though bc thats when you change the rules and do it the old school way. If they dont want to fuck em and go after the very few remaining people who know how life should be.

@kinkojolo It was also fun to be a kid between the age of 4 and 12. The movies aren't lying, it was non-stop fun, especially in the suburbs (New Jersey here). Like a highlight would be my dad taking my best friend and I to see Ghostbusters right when school was over and then coming home and making proton packs out of any crap we could nail together.
