@ArkOrganic Low carbs switches the body to use more fat instead of sugars (carbohydrates). Though this could only be achieved when you keep your eating habbit very low carb.
@Ninja9191 Could tricking the body to do this frequently cause harm? In my opinion if you want to reduce body fat... lowering your fat intake makes more sense, not burning the candle at both ends.
@ArkOrganic nothing harms your body, but carbs are being transformed into fat very quickly. And when it gets to fat, burning it will be much harder. Yes, you could lower fat, but if you keep on eating carbs, there will be no results (maybe you'll get fatter). But if you lower carbs, there has to be an energy source, fat can be good for your body if you choose the right kind. Look up atkins diet
@Ninja9191 I've read Dr Atkins' books...before I saw a picture of how fat he was, this theory has now been proven wrong, the latest is Dr Doug Graham's 80/10/10 theory, this is quite the opposite and seems to be working for people, take a look and see what you think.
add paprika and/or garlic to your eggs while cooking them to add flavour rather than ketchup. It's much healthier that way and you might like the taste too :)
@LysergicElysium Never waste the yolk, they have all the nutrients, if you are afraid of the amount of fat, well, eat eggs when you think "you can eat fat"
Hi, I'm a girl and I go to the gym everyday. You are eating very healthy food you've prepared there! Sadly, I eat more vegetables itself and a sometime fruits. I see that you're using whey and that reminds me of a nursery rhymes song..."little miss muffet sit on a tuffet eating her curds and whey..." ok...I'm always wondering what a whey is...if you don't mind, can you show what a whey looks like in your next video you are doing? I'd apprecate seeing what a whey looks like or what it is.
Don't fret,,,,Cheerios is from oats, is relatively low sugar & is made with whole grain. So other than a high fiber cereal ...it's probably NOT that bad for you...as long as you eat well everywhere else.
nice man looks clean and good!! i would replace the cereal with oatmeal though, MUCH better source of carbohydrates and they are one of the best sources of complex carbohydrates. also, it gives alot of energy to start out the day, at least for me lol nice video bro.
@SmexyPC thanks for watching and commenting. I dont really eat cereal much anymore. It is usually oatmeal. If I do eat cereal, I save it for post workout where the sugars and starchy carbs will be beneficial.
You have virtually no fat intake in your diet. And you have too few of meals.... I can't say you are sparing muscle let alone cutting down body weight and hurting your metabolism. Shoot for 6-8 meals every 2.5 to 3.5 hours.
@mbutler21 Sorry that came off so bluntly... but looking at your stature, and seeing 1500 calories with only a few meals, it brings up the question of how much weight are you trying to lose, are you trying to lose body fat, muscle, both, and are you really getting the best benefit? You have good meals, but for your size and activity level, I'd say it's too little to get the task done. I am at 202 lbs at 5.5% body fat right now and my "low calorie day" is 2000 kcal 55g f 75g c 300g p.
@EricB042389 yeah, this video was made a while ago, and I have changed a lot with my diet since then. I realized that my caloric intake was far too low, and I have addressed that fact. I have also increased my carbohydrate intake, and I now gauge my daily carb intake based on my activity level that day.. I am still not in great shape, but if you watch some of my newer videos, you will notice that I am definitely leaner than I was, and I have been able to increase my strength and stamina.
@mbutler21 On my refeed days.... I usually eat about 2500 kcal for maintenance, 45g fat 202g protein and 350g carbs coming from pasta, rice, potatoes, and oat bran cereals ranging from moderate to low GI over the course of a 6-8 hour period. I usually eat all my carbs early and cut them off down to veggies after 6pm. A nice way to look at it is 20% at breakfast 30% pre-workout 25% PWO 20% on the meal after that and the last 5% is in vegetable form at dinner. Questions, lemme know! I'll help!
hey man its ok to go of the clean eating for a day or so it revs up your metabolism and keeps you sane haha..well it does for me at least, i just have to remember to not overdo it haha
