they appear to be "Jet-Back" machines. You can tell by the booster tire just above the ball return track where the 2 tracks form at the "Y". The A-2 machine has a long thin belt that speeds the balls back to the bowler. This was an early conversion kit to speed up the "model A" pinsetter, before Brunswick released the A-2 pinsetter. There were no factory built "Jet-Back" pinsetters, it was only a field conversion.
These appear to be converted A1's. there are so many hybrid types out there.

I don't work there. My 5 year old wanted to know where the balls went. The maintenance guy was nice enough to shoot this video to show my kid.
