Every real spiderman fan knows that toby was a terrible choice for the role...they only thing good about the 3 previous movies were the villians with the exception of venom...can't wait to see the reboot that will follow the comics instead of the directors doing whatever the fuck they want to..

Well, even though I was quite angry at first that they were already rebooting the franchise and despite the fact that The Dark Knight Rises will blow me away alot more anyway (I'm more of a Batman fan than Spidey and.. well.. come on, it's Nolan!), I will nevertheless give this reboot a chance.

It seems to be more comic-orientated and not a remake of 2002's Spider-Man, so it's finally also got my attention and I'm gonna check it out.

Considering Marvel movies, I think it will beat the Avengers..

It's been 5 years since the last Spiderman and they butchered what Spiderman was really about. Don't get me wrong, they were enjoyable but not accurate. These are actually following the comic and right now it sounds "emo"-y because it's sad what Peter has to go through, but that's what makes us love him. he's real about it

@cheervolley4eva woooow you cant compare to the batman films, the last "proper" batman to me before, the christian bale one's, was batman returns as soon as kilmer and clooney took over it became a joke just to ride on the coat tales of keaton , and that was in '92, so thats 13 years before that had a proper stab at it again.

Superman is a better example, 19 years before they tried again, otherwise every few years your just gona get copys of a copy of a copy

@glennster101 well I was reffering to the last of the series for both. putting Batman and Robin in 1997. but I'm not meaning to argue, I was just giving an alternate way to look at this scenario. I'm excited about this movie and will be first in line to see it, I hope that they will be able to convince more people as well as time goes on in their marketing campaign to see it as well.

@glennster101 Theres actually ALOT of things wrong with sam raimis spiderman trilogy,for one they are nothing like the source material of the comic books,another is they are way too goofy and campy,just look up the nostalgia critic's top 11 dumbest spiderman moments,so far this film actually looks like they are finally getting spiderman right.
