oh come on, it's made to be funny for kids, remember, people back then had a different kind of humour and it's just the idea of the man being held outside his house, outsmarted by animals. It's comical. :D
I was 8 years old when the Flinstones appeared. I loved them. I must have drawn the characters hundreds of times (like my own son later drew the Ninja Turtles). They came on Friday nights at 7:30 (?) and my brothers wanted to watch Rawhide.I hope this new Flintstones project that Seth MacFarlane is going to do does not replay the usual Seinfeldian "irony," which fundamentally is just destructive cynicism.
