  • hey im looking at getting the same setup for my ms3. Has the intake thrown any check engine lights? Can you post a more detailed "review" of these two parts. Thanks!!! Nice car by the way!!

  • how did you know you have tuned it to 50/50 with atm and recir.? did the atm affect your shifting or anything?

  • i have same one (evolution 8 version), but mine seized up and shut completely after i installed a new fmic and intercooler pipes. did yours ever do that yet? i've cleaned it out and tried weak and hard spring settings and it still won't break loose. hope it'll fix soon or else it's $300 down the drain

  • 100% Recirculate for the MS3, the stock one is a BPV so recirculate would give the best performance on the MS3.

  • I got the same bov and intake and I'm loving it. I can listen to it all the time. I don't even need radio. =)))

  • it would still blow louder than the stock bov without the intake, but with the intake it would be even louder and more efficient.

  • yeah, when rpm's are are over 3000, its almost as loud.

  • there is no spring "setting" in terms of changing a spring. the cap loosens and tightens as needed. took me about a week of driving in different conditions to figure the 50/50 rate. however i am currently running a 100% recirc.

  • no cels, and no dyno yet. first i need an upgraded intercooler and a tune.

  • just wondering... what's the different between a suction intake and normal looking after market intake? does it sucks more air than the normal looking intake? oh btw with the suction intake alone, did it made the factory BOV louder?

  • suction is just part of the name, nothing else. all aftermarket intakes will offer more air flow thus more "suction". and yes the bov is louder with the intake.

  • Only if there is a problem and the dealership finds that the intake was the cause. Got the HKS because CAI does not give much if any more power to a turbo car and in order to put in you have to remove alot of the front end, also if you dont want to void the warrenty mazda HAS to install, real expensive!!! hope that helps!
