  • Does anyone think Brando sounds exactly like Winston Churchill? He should have played him in a biopic in his later life. He would have been great!

  • he became such a lazy actor

  • Brando was one of the best actors ever, if not THE best actor ever. However, he was totally mis-cast as Jor-El, Jor-El has to be about as young as Clark is once he's established as Superman.

  • marlon brando he's the father anyway

  • @Pleaver well said

  • that new man of steel is going to be shit aswell..i dont no why they didn't go with the natural choice Tom Welling...even Chris Reeves said r.i.p that Tom was the best choice''

  • Rusell is not Brando, Man of steel is not Superman the movie. The Snyder film is another vision of the last son of Krypton, this seems a good idea,

  • Brando was like "yeah, sure I will do this role. Assuming you pay me about 4 million dollars, I don't have to look at the script before at all, you have the lines I need to know somewhere where I can see them and basically I just show up for a few weeks and you pay me lots of money"

The studio says "absolutely" and then Brando does this scene and its really good.

Years of training don't go to waste.

  • I will never see Rusell Crowe as Jor-El

  • Superman's name should be Michael Corleone LOL

  • Yes, he read from cue cards and at sometime he acted so natural !! Everyone think that it´s easer too read from cue cards and acting but is not !!

it´s actually harder than when u can your part and then acting ! Because u know what exactly to say and acting in the same time and emotionally u are more prepare !

The thing with Brando was that he was or had all kind of emotionally and natural control and balance in his acting ! Actually He never acted ,he just live it through the character !

  • All Brando haters are uninformed. He was the greatest actor ever. Any great actor today would say the same thing. He gave life to his characters in ways that nobody else ever had. He read cue cards sometimes, yes. But he still delivered astounding performances. He is to acting what Bob Dylan is to music. Without him, many would not exist today.

  • @Pleaver I would agree completely, followed by daniel day lewis

  • @IronMan50780 Then Sean Penn.

  • keep reading those cue cards brando, you who*e you

  • Superman's Real mother: "They are primitives, 1000's of yrs behind us."

Nice to know there are advanced Prejudice people out there in the galaxy. We don't own the monopoly on Prejudice.

  • Check out the Jor-El Soundboard app!!

****Itunes - Jor-Els Wisdom its frikkin Awesome!!!! *****

  • in the 1978 movie 'Superman' when the alien infant emerged from his space capsule he displayed a circumcised penis. The jews who control Hollywood never bypass any opportunity to brainwash the gullible masses into replicating their sadistic covenant ritual with Lucifer. Nobody who bears the mark of Lucifer is ever allowed to enter the presence of God.

  • @AwfulVague Just a heads up if you didn't know, even though Superman's penis is not shown in the comics, he was created by two Jewish men. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. As for the circumcised penis being the mark of Lucifer. Your comment is the first I have ever heard of that.

  • @AwfulVague You have a poisoned and hateful mind.

  • @AwfulVague And you do realize that 'Jesus' is ultimately an Anglicization of the word Yeshua, which is a Hebrew, i.e. JEWISH, name, right? And it is only through this JEW that anyone can enter the presence of God, according to The Bible, right? And you also realize that circumcision was something that THE BIBLE said to do, right? Oh, you didn't? Glad to educate you. Now please shut the idiocy up and watch the Kryptonians.

  • @VampireYoshi They see me trolling...they hating....

  • @VampireYoshi no, you need to shut the fuck up and just watch the damn video.... it's BRANDO BITCHES! LMFAO!

  • Jor-El's wisdom and compassion sent Superman to us!

  • "Their atmosphere will sustain him". But Superman can survive in a vacuum.

  • @amperro Not without the energy from a hotter, yellow sun. The part where they have him picking up a truck as a toddler is at complete odds with later canon.

  • Science-fiction movie.

  • Has this thing been released yet?

  • Well gee lady, would you rather that he were DEAD?!

  • RIP to Susannah York.

  • And from what i see both his mom and paps could both have fit in that ship! Bs on top of bs!

  • @bisexualbuffthug He gave his word that neither her nor his wife would attempt to leave Krypton. Man of his word.

  • @torchkit Why adhere to the laws of a planet that will blow up in a few hours? If you knew Earth was about to blow up would you pay your parking tickets and rent?

  • @bisexualbuffthug Thank you!!!! Every super hero got kinfolks that share the same powers! Like for example wonder woman and her sisters! I always wanted to see wonder womans mom get in on the action! LOL!

  • WOW I never realized Marlon Brando was in this movie!! LOL the Godfather was Superman's father! LMAO!!!

  • Marlon Brando one of the greatest actors of all time gives an extraodrinary performance despite being on screen for merely 15 minutes. He shoulda got some awards for it however.

  • dont fuck with superman or his father will make you an offer you can't refuse

  • I remember watching on TV a couple of Lex Luthor scenes that involved a pit of lions. The 1st scene had Otis feeding them some meat. The second one had Ms Tesmacher as the food(!). I couldn't find any of those scenes on youtube. Would be nice to see them again.

  • @undeadnightorc It's on the DVD, I forget what release. I believe it's the 14 disc box set

  • RIP .......mummy

  • Susannah York, Kal-El's mum in Superman The Movie - RIP

  • R.I.P. Susannah York

  • Superman's sexy-ass mom! Damn!

  • I'm watching Superman right now and watching Jor El speak to the counsel it was hard to ignore the Don Corleone in his manner

  • I like the way they tell Superman's origin in the first Superman. I also like the phantom zone scene at the very beginning.

  • The scope of Marlon Brando's acuting is that phenomenal...in just five minutes on camera, Brando was paid some 3 million dollars...

  • My mum was the person who really got that Baby the job in the film. The baby was my mum's friends son.

  • @milnusthegnome

You shitting me! You are lying!

  • @YoungandRestlessboy Haha no! Google Lee Quigley. His and my mum lived together for years.

  • @milnusthegnome really?

  • @funcooldrew2 REALLY:D

  • They should have played the whole monologue.........one of the best of all time........."You will travel far my little Karl-el!"

  • What a masterwork of a film.

  • So many parallels

  • best movie ever

    best Scene ever

    i love;t

  • Superman owes his knowledge of Krypton and his powers to the green crystal his father placed in the ship. Without it, he might have never discovered his origins.

  • Why'd they put music in there? totally not right

  • I like the fact that they did put in the music. John Williams wrote and recorded it, but whoever made the final call decided to cut it. There are plenty of versions that don't have it. This restoration should take advantage of any opportunities to make this alternate version as alternate a version as it can.

  • There was music in that scene already for the 1978 theatrical cut of the film, but since it was the 70's, music in films were VERY hard to here in conversational scenes. The music is well heard in the remasteration. GO JOHN WILLIAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MB is really a good actor isn't he.

  • @MANILABOY6631 One of the Best

  • @MANILABOY6631 ya think??? he prevented invented method acting!

  • @MANILABOY6631 He was the best of his generation. In the making of "Superman" he actually read from cue cards lol.

  • for the love of god why did you not include the speech? my god...

  • @giblo and see proof that Brando deserved every dollar of his ridiculous paycheck

  • blimey - he looks like he's lamenting the role even as he's actually playing it.

  • He was just chewed out by his peers. He's about to die and knows it. I think he's doing a damn good job of it. At the time he was being paid more than any actor in history for those short clips. So I guess he should have smiled at least a little bit though. Id be. ; )

  • fuck the whole "yellow sun" bullshit. Superman has super-powers because his father is Marlon Brando!

  • @primarydominant That is so well said. His Father is a god of actors. A superman full of acting talent. That is why his son was Superman.

  • @Ca1neKwa1 Marlon Brando, played Superman's father in the first Superman...he was actually on camera for only 5 minutes, yet he was paid over 3 million dollars, which put him in the Guinness Book of World Records, for the most money paid per minute, in a motion picture...

  • @GemCan78 Best 3 million spent ever!

  • @primarydominant amen brother!

  • @primarydominant That is the most sensible explanation of superman's powers.

  • @primarydominant Krypton's sun is red, not yellow. It is the Earth's sun that is yellow.

  • @aigomar

I think we can all relate to Clark Kent at times. At times we will lose all of our power. However, there are times when we regain those powers. On February 28th of this year I broke my leg, rushed to the ER, and now have a new leg. My health Insurance only paid 80% of the costs, and for the rest it was a pretty nasty hospital bill.

But like Clark, something called out to me. I forgot I was given an old pocket watch from 1915. It called out to me, and restored my powers.

  • @aigomar The pocket watch restored my financial powers so I could pay my hospital bills. It was like the green crystal source. I made use of the one thing that was left to me.

So its true, we all have those green crystal power crystals in our lives to restore us when we fail.

  • @primarydominant yes, superman is the GodSon.

  • @primarydominant Absolutely, such a true and cocky statement!!

  • It does look better than I thought it would be.
