I do give Shinedown a lot of credit though for making an already great song into an even better song with their great vocals. A lot of bands can make half ass covers, they really did this song major justice with their cover.

I'm 20 years old and facing 5 years in prison right now over a foolish mistake I made back in October. My mom always told me to take the high road and don't fall for the tricks of life but I eventually let them get the best of me. She and I both wish this never happened but it did and now she just wishes the best for me as I take this 5 year journey on my own. If only I had listened to her then I would not be going through this.

I usually don't care for the remake as much as an origanial but, Shinedown did this song perfect. I so out of a 10 point scale they (Lynyrd Skynyrd and Shinedown) both get an 12+ ........ To this day this song still gives me chills and makes me think of my mother because i was her only son and youngest.
