i just got the little rascals video collection for christmas. the song was written by nick and charles kenny who also wrote 'love letters in the sand' and 'there's a gold mine in the sky' there is a lead in refrain to it also... the search has ended!! the official tilte is 'Because it's your birthday today' Alfalfa sang it to Butch at his birthday party in the eposode 'Practical Jokers' . Darla played the piano. I searched for YEARS trying to find its origins!!!
This is great! I have sang a portion of this song at every kids' birthday but never knew the other words! I always knew that it was from the Little Rascals though. Alfalfa sang it to Darla! Thanks!
