Implementing FairTax, a law that stops insurance companies from rescinding coverage of a customer of 6 or more years, and tort reform is enough to solve the health care "crisis."
I am totally against a so-called fair tax. There is nothing fair about it and it puts the heaviest tax burden on the people who it hurts the most and benefits the least. There should not be a federal income tax, just capital gains, business profits and other income vehicles, but not labor. Wealth should be taxed by an estate tax, but only the top 10-20% Most services we get come from the state, not the federal gov. I'm all for having rich people, but the system we have sucks.
So you would rather have a flat sales tax, than no tax at all? Taxes on business are constitutional as are local taxes. Taxes on income generated from things besides your labor are constitutional. A federal sales tax is not constitutional.

You can think what you want but there is nothing "fair" about a national sales tax and nothing is going to change that AND it's not constitutional. The poor and the middle class spend a much larger portion of their income than do the wealthy, it's the most regressive tax there is. Why do tempratures always rise before CO2 levels go up? Seems to me that is BACKWARDS to what the global warming drones tend to push.
Even when floating ice melts there are problems. The albedo of the ice is different than the albedo of water. The ice that can cause rising sea levels is from land ice. Furthermore, thermal expansion of the ocean being warmer can cause sea level rises.

Glaciers and Polar Ice have a natural cycle like just about every thing in nature. They will shrink and then grow on their own schedule. Many scientists have changed their views. There can easily be short term counter trends in a longer trend. The climate can fluctuate year to year but still have an overall warming of cooling trend. Think of it like a bear market rally. The general trend is up and if you lay out a longer time line, you will see that. A search on that took me to a virus at the very first page. What does the petition say? Who are the scientists and what is their specialty? I used to be a skeptic but the evidence is overwhelming

Finally, I would never have used Naders terminology saying what he said, but his point was still a valid one. After seeing all the bail outs and money given to big business we had our answer to that question in the first 200 days in office. I am totally against a so-called fair tax. There is nothing fair about it and it puts the heaviest tax burden on the people who it hurts the most and benefits the least. There should not be a federal income tax, just capital gains, business profits and other income vehicles, but not labor. Wealth should be taxed by an estate tax, but only the top 10-20% Most services we get come from the state, not the federal gov. I'm all for having rich people, but the system we have sucks.

The poor and the middle class spend a much larger portion of their income than do the wealthy, it's the most regressive tax there is. Business profits and income vehicles are taxable and that is the way it should be. A guess the constitution means nothing to you.

Executives don't earn too much money, they steal too much. This is created by a conflict of interest in the way they are paid and any informed conservative would agree. Of course, Hollywood celebrities ought to shut their hypocritical mouths. Reminds me of Moore saying he hates capitalism while profiting greatly from it.
I don't know why someone as educated and insightful as yourself would deny global warming. It's so obvious that people just look silly denying it.

No one is against the environment and the helping of keeping it clean, BUT when parties start trying to gain controls over peoples lives it becomes an issue. Global warming has HUGE HUGE money behind it and is a large part of how these sickos want to use this to corral people up into small areas to further control their lives to do nothing more than suppress oposition to governments power grab. No guns, no freedom, promise of no fear and the guarantee of no real freedom or life.

All of this can be avoided if conservatives would stop denying AGW and work on sensible solutions ourselves. The money that smart business men and investors can make with clean solutions like Algae are staggering. You talk about HUGE backing, we are talking about the oil industry and the coal industry! Do you realize that during 06,07 and part of 08 we were using 1000 barrels of oil per second? We are dumping so much CO2 into the air that the oceans PH level is changing! Then there is coal. The amount of coal burned every single day is staggering and most of the high quality coal is gone. Then there is peak oil and many petrogeologists believe conventional oil peaked in May 05. Production remained flat despite 147/bl oil. Every major science org in the world backs AGW, the can't all be shills.

There is a ton of evidence backing up AGW and contrary to popular opinion, it has long been suspected. CO2 laws are going to benefit our economy in the long run (or even the medium run). Think about all the manufacturing jobs that are going to come home as the combination of peak oil and carbon taxes makes shipping stuff back and forth all over the place unprofitable. We have created a society that destroys wealth and standards of living with cheap oil that damages the health of our environment.

High energy prices, with or without taxes, are going to cause more local production and less globalization unless a new form of cheap energy can be found. I don't necessarily support high taxes, but at bare minimum we need to stop subsidizing the oil and coal industries. Taxing foreign resources isn't the same thing as taxing a local business or resource. We don't have anything even remotely resembling a free market and I am for free market solutions.

Which facts am I ignoring? The fact you believe that it's a worldwide conspiracy to tax us? The fact that you insist on saying that the science organizations have these huge conflicts of interest without ever examining the conflicts of interest the people (I don't mean regular people) and orgs that try to say it doesn't exist, like those honest folks in the coal industry? Another thing. If it were just the IPCC, I would take it all with a grain of salt, but it isn't. There is not even 1 major science organization that doesn't blame CO2 for not only AGW, and not only for changing the PH of the ocean, but for creating the oil in the first place. Another thing, what other plausible explanation is there for the earth breaking the cycle of the snowball earth? A scientist who could show otherwise would go down in history, win a Nobel prize and be filthy rich.

If CO2 were the real reason why can't the global warmers get a model over known time that is even partially correct. When dealing within 1 degree temprature changes being 60% off is not good and infact a lot of what brought this up to the world stage has been debunked. Why do tempratures always rise before CO2 levels go up? Seems to me that is BACKWARDS to what the global warming drones tend to push.

The ice caps melt every year, it's called summer. And no they don't cause catastrophic flooding as ice takes up the same volume as water. Sorry.

Even when floating ice melts there are problems. The albedo of the ice is different than the albedo of water. The ice that can cause rising sea levels is from land ice. Furthermore, thermal expansion of the ocean being warmer can cause sea level rises.
I wish someone could tell me what reason science has to trick us in the first place! If you honestly think this is about taxes, I feel sorry for you.

I can see you're pretty panicked about global warming. Maybe it would calm you down a bit to know that the global temperature has NOT warmed in the last ten years. Glaciers and Polar Ice have a natural cycle like just about every thing in nature. They will shrink and then grow on their own schedule. Many scientists have changed their views. Google for "scientist petition against global warming"

There can easily be short term counter trends in a longer trend. The climate can fluctuate year to year but still have an overall warming of cooling trend. Think of it like a bear market rally. The general trend is up and if you lay out a longer time line, you will see that. A search on that took me to a virus at the very first page. What does the petition say? Who are the scientists and what is their specialty? I used to be a skeptic but the evidence is overwhelming

I am definitely a skeptic. I don't believe these people have proven their theory. The like to alarm everybody. They are best at that.
The thing is that their global warming theory has gotten the support of a group of people who see it a a great tool.
By declaring the unquestioned threat of Global catastrophe they are able to demand an end to American consumerism, which is presumed to be guilty of causing the crisis.
