its easier to assign Pantone or spot colors to each color that needs to be separated...you can then go to print-separation setup, and print all the seps at the same time or individually...it'll also tell ya if ya have any process colors that need to be converted to pantones....you can set the angles needed for halfttone or 4 color process prints...just FYI..
