1) It's called the "Pit" because there used to be an open pit there while Harvard station was being redug. 2) The kids that hung out there originally were mostly dropouts and runaways, not class-skippers. 3) The scene was composed of Metalheads, Punks, Skinheads, Mods, Rude Boys, and Death Rockers... "Goths" didn't exist yet.
