Iused to sit in the garden,my uncle just killed a full goat, skinning it. This chun playing. And the first thing we'd do is have fun. Tobva tagocha m-achende embudzi pamotto!!!!!
I listen to this song as I grew up, one of my dad's favourite. Now Dad has just passed on and this magical piece does make me shed a tear. Half grief -half acceptance....this great song will forever mark golden moments of dad and me. RIP......love you so much
I listened to this song for the first time in 1982 when visiting in Bujumbura, Charles Rusirida (RIP), a friend who was just coming from a business mission in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He liked the song too much!
This song is based on a true story. Two married musicians in love with the same woman but the woman is married too. The band leader kicks out the rival from the band. Victim laments " You have your wife at home. I have my wife at home. She has her husband at home!!!!! Why do you want to kill me for a woman who belongs to neither of us. (nothing) ? She is not your wife and neither is she mine. You have a wife at home, so do I Why the hatred? I have done no wrong." He laments.
I remember listening to this song in a nairobi bound bus .going for mid term from murang'a high school. i was in form 2 then with my friend minai .buses in those days 80s used to have very lound music to attract wateja . then being youngsters we borded the ones with the loudest music . we enjoyed very much .
Good song, but it lacks its originality. The song should have been done in context to yesteryear's. This type of clothes, caps, goggles and ladies with tight underpants does not whatsoever reflect the people who originally sang the song and the environment in which it was sang. Therefore its far much better to listen to the audio version of the song rather than its video
sina makosa this the beat of those gooddays when the quality of music had goodstuff that made alot of sense.this unforgetable music.mambo yote i loved my generation we listened to cool stuff.
Muy buena cancion. No estoy seguro si el nombre popular de la canción en mi ciudad es "la gallinita". Yo soy de Barranquilla - Colombia - América del Sur.
Very good song. I Not sure if the popular name of the song in my city is "La Gallinita." I'm from Barranquilla - Colombia - South America.
