@EvansRowan123 Nope, just means your part of the club called humanity. we always want to be where we're not, when we get there we wish we could turn and go back to what we had. you are always exactly where you should be, if you can accept that you'll be in for a pretty good future
This is my favourite Coulton song. It's funny and lighthearted, but it also evokes that sort of bittersweet nostalgia inside of ya don't it? You know, that boyish angst, ambition and hope experienced by many an elementary school nerd-type way back when.
I have been playing guitar for about a year and half and to me it looks like he's using chords for most of his songs and he just has different strum patterns or arpeggios (Playing individual strings while your hand is in the shape of a chord) but i cant find tab anywhere either lol
Go to jonathancoulton(dot)com then go to the music page. Find the song, click on info(magnifying glass), there you will find tabs, lyrics and other related stuff.
In my personal opinion it doesn't matter because it sounds good, it's catchy, and he isn't a hard ass about downloading his music for personal use. Far too often put too much much pressure on musicians to be different and perfect. I like him cause he is a normal guy doing what he loves.
He actually licences his songs to be free to copy, modify, and share. And he seems to enjoy seeing all the videos, remixes, and concert footage appear on the net. Also, bonus points for getting a good shot of his "I steal music" shirt. :D
@supercrem909 What you want is a website called ultimate-guitar(dot)com. It is one of the best sites for guitarists to learn new songs, they have tabs, chord/lyrics, power tabs, guitar pro's, bass and even the odd drumming section. There are quite a few of JoCo's songs on there, you may have to try a few versions but all in all it's a great site and often has some accurate tabs. Enjoy.
eh i feel sorry for you :P im in a big city in America :P tsk tsk tsk sweden seems cool really wish I learned about it more might visit sweden acttualy
I can't stand that you got a minus for this comment, can't you upload so that people can judge? Would be interesting to hear a cover of a Jonathan Coultons song.
oh your so lucky. im gonna go busking and make some money so i can buy it. and i might donate the rest to JoCo himself, who inspires me to play anyway. I want to be a troubador just like him :)
i love this sng lol. nerd anthem

@Goblineng No, I mean I relate to the stuff about the moonbase and the robot warriors.
EvansRowan123 9 months ago
Kinda normal if you also sing at the same time that you don't make the guitar music too hard, so chords are perfect :p

This is my favorite JoCo song. Coulton said that first part about the girl in class is autobiographical. Growing up is nothin' nice.

First song I heard by JC. One of my favorites, but in this recording, the guitar is just too loud.
Awesome song nevertheless.
