  • This is definitely the sound of the Q3HD. The mic seeable in the video would give a much brighter sound. The sound of the Q3HD gives that low-mid tone. Sounds good and yes.....she is lovely.

  • hmmm are you serious? sounds like the sound here came from that mic above the piano, not the Q3 that's not a stereo recording it's mono. Video Q3 maybe, but nice of you to help out zoom anyway.

  • The talent on display made me forget I was trying to watch a camera test video. Really fun to listen to the lush piano playing. If she lives in the SF Bay Area, I would love to hire her to play a couple of gigs now and then.

  • Who cares about the zoom blahblah! Look at this talent girl! Amazing.

  • I just taped a piano master student for a contest entry in the same situation. Only I dragged my AG 100B, mic stand, cables, and Sennheiser to record it. Had I seen this I would have bought a Q3. But what is the mic in the upper right hand corner. AKG, Shure? Did you use that mic by mistake? The audio quality is really good on this. A shock mount for the Q3 would help.

  • she is amazing... wow!!!!

  • that was excellent ... thank you!!!

  • slowdown the great playing!! this isnt a race, bring the tempo down for a great inspiring sound

  • Can it record just mp3 audio ?

  • @GowanBray Yes it can....

  • @GowanBray Go to the video settings and turn off the video. I dont have the camera anymore so I cant be specific but I did many audo only recordings with that recorder.

  • Her playing is f*ckin amazing

  • bravo.....

  • The song you played was awesome

  • Was the video also recorded with the Q3HD camera?

  • Can you post more video of her playing please?

  • You should do this again with the audio level set manually-You will get much more dynamic results.

  • Beautiful playing! Very embracable!

  • wow you are good lady

  • PCM would be better quality but uses more memory. If memory is not a factor then use the PCM.

  • you are an amazing player, do you recommend pcm or aac for piano recording?

  • lol @deadend

  • Typical when the mics are mounted on the camera...mic placement suffers...and lack of a decent shock mount is causeing all that resonance...

  • @deadendkid1968 All true but the camera costs less than $300 and the audio is much better than the competition...

  • Really great piano player.

  • Great Video!

  • Low Cut filter was turned off and is a seperate function than the Auto Level function. Low Cut filter is good to have on when recording outside or in a noisy environment. Make a test recoreding with your unit in both modes while outside and compare for yourself. When you set the recording mode to Auto Level, the recorder sets the levels for you. I recomend the up and down setting. The instruction booklet is lacking and you will need to figure things like that out for yourself.

  • Hi i just got the zoom Q3HD too ,and i am wondering about some settings, when i hear this i thought you had the low cut filter on, but the i read that you had recorded it with the low cut filter off and auto level set for up&down..but still i missing a little bit of

clarity..MAYBE if you would have had sensitivity set High and/or if had the bit rate set for 320 and used ACC i could be better, just wondering haha. The total video is'nt gonna be so big, because you would have used ACC, nice vid!

  • Great videos & thankyou for information on what settings & equipment you are using. It's very helpful.

  • Bravo! The sound quality is getting there.

Fantastic playing. I could listen to you play all day. It helps that you are amazingly beautiful too.
