Actually, healthcare could be ran by the government for much cheaper. Government doesn't need to spend money on lobbying like corporations do, on advertising, and most importantly, they do not have to pull a profit and pay off stock holders. All universal healthcare systems in the world are much cheaper than ours. (And when you look at health statistics such as infant mortality rate, they are better off).

I agree. FDA and others who are in medical industry are pretty corrupted as much as the insurance companies are. There are lack of preventive care from doctors who would rather prescribe you unnecessary drugs and surgeries. There's also lack of control in cost unlike other countries driving up medicine cost for us to pay at least $30-40 for a few pills that can be bought for half the price elsewhere.

This amounts to 30 BILLION dollars. What other entity/company is mandated to do the same. If they weren't having to do this, they would still be making money. If you go to any Indian Reservation they enjoyed the benefits of free Government healthcare every single native American has this privilege. Actually, healthcare could be ran by the government for much cheaper. Government doesn't need to spend money on lobbying like corporations do, on advertising, and most importantly, they do not have to pull a profit and pay off stock holders. All universal healthcare systems in the world are much cheaper than ours. (And when you look at health statistics such as infant mortality rate, they are better off).

Sure, there are lots of problems with health care today: lets start by pointing out that the FDA (government) APPROVES toxic chemicals to be used in our food and water, and they approve unnecessary medications that are DEADLY.The FDA gives organic farming a bad rep, yet naturally grown food has been proven to reduce & CURE many health problems.Alternative medicine isn't recognized by the government as professional...but plastic surgery is! I could go on and on about the lies and manipulation

I agree. FDA and others who are in medical industry are pretty corrupted as much as the insurance companies are. There are lack of preventive care from doctors who would rather prescribe you unnecessary drugs and surgeries. There's also lack of control in cost unlike other countries driving up medicine cost for us to pay at least $30-40 for a few pills that can be bought for half the price elsewhere.
So you hit one of many issues that doesn't really involve freedom and rights.

If the government executes OPERATION WETBACK and deport all the anchor babies in this country, then health care will reduce by 50%....The government used OPERATION WETBACK three times in our country, with tremendous results. Americans need to tackle the real issue with the health care cost rising: Illegal immigration.

The shame of this is that a number of those "protesters" were outside agitators. They are being encouraged by the health care companies and right-wing groups to go into these town halls and shout down any real, intelligent dialogue, and to help spread lies and scare tactics to kill any hope of the true reform we need in health care. The core problem is that the Federal Reserve Bank has taken over politics a long time ago (1913), bought out all the media, and has become an international mafia unbeknown to the people because the media isn't reporting it.
