no you dont want one, its not supported anymore meaning the last video driver for it was 11/9/2008 asus wont update it and they old ati not to either for some reason.

since its not 2 4870 but some weird setup, for some reason people cant make drivers for it so despite the fact that it could probably go to 2015 if not 2020 before needing an upgrade its basically dead and gone now

This is good for a Desktop replacement...you can play all the latest games at the highest settings (ram, hard drive AND cpu are upgreadable) and connect a full size monitor, keyboard and mouse and you're set...

But you won't have to carry a full size heavy tower with you!

came doa..geez. i took video,put on it, an it went 2 blu screen. worked 24/7 w/ asus josh, said 2 ship in 4 repair NO. it was new. $2400..so amazon has my 1 video,lol..is big/heavy 4 girl, but beautiful. Put in a order on May 21st and was told it would ship on, or around, the second of June. Called in again today to make sure it would be shipped with in the next few days and was told it would be around june 12-15th, if they had enough then. I was told it was shipped with some problems so now asus is having all those replaced/reshipped first and then when they have leftovers all the new buyers will get theirs. I cancelled my order to wait and see about the G51 and see which one I re-order.

I have a friend thats got a single 4850 mobility easily over 12k points now, by flashing the bios you can go overkill, but dont waste warrenty hehe :)

His clocks are 570 GPU Clock 1100+ Memory lol.

17k neverthe less is insane, and that vantage score is godly.

Im pretty sure those 4870 X2 beats the GTX 280M by a LOT.

Most of the time Nvidia Laptop versions are stripped down compared to their desktops versions.

280M isn't that powerfull to be honest, the 4850 ate it at a crysis benchmark when the 280m was overclocked and the 4850 wasn't, the only difference was a resolution difference.

Who needs 6GB of DDR3 ram when you get the same performance as DDR2.

Overclocked Xtreme dual core is still higher GHz then the I7.

SSD's are better with 1 SSD and 2 HDD configuration.

I'd take the w90 any day.

Very nice laptop but a pity that the UK is shafted yet again with only 1 processor choice of T9550 2.66 Ghz and Hard Drive's spin speeds down to 5400 rpm.
