I don't think it was acceptable for women to smoke until the 40's or 50's.

I think a lot of the research on passive smoking Is based on rooms with poor ventilation or by confined spaces, even I have been put off by places that are not properly venterlated, and I'll go and smoke out side. What I find most oppressive is that even designated smoking rooms even if that contain no bar or right of way therefor nobody who doesn't smoke has to be in there, including the employees, aren't allowed.
