MC is just a soldier, doing his job, if he had a problem with it, he would show some sort of grief, but the fact that he's defending his home trumps that, therefore, MC doesn't care about the killing. He'll keep killing, he has not become some "animal" that will murder anything in sight. So, the lyrical part of the song did not fit.
