FYI dude... What you're experiencing is called Anaphylaxis - it's pretty serious and if you havn't seen a doctor yet, you should.

Typically every time you are exposed to something you are allergic to the reaction will be worse than the previous exposure.

If the inside of your mouth, throat, lips were itching pretty bad - that's a sign to go get emergency care ASAP. Otherwise you could (and i'm serious) die before you can get your camera set up. Your throat could swell shut and you'd suffoca

Just this last year I ate too many peppercorn beef jerky strips and got hives ... I'd never had an allergic reaction to any food before. Then I put too much black pepper in a soup, and had them again.

I don't know how close scallops are to lobster or crab, though ... you might experiment with a little bit of crab salad sometime and see if you have a reaction.
