@ChainsawVsGod I don't know, it looks really, really cheesy. Their music is quite catchy and pretty brutal but i think the singer looks ridiculous instead of scary. But hey, that's just my opinion. It's still extreme metal so these guys can do whatever the fuck they want.

Grindcore isnt well respected, people often view grindcore as shitty death metal which it mostly is. The irony is alot of so called deathcore is grindcore, think of it like this DC is hardcore punk and DM, Grindcore is hardcore punk and DM, breakdowns r just elements used in tech death like Nile and....

@starbattle226 Suffocation, those bands use regular breakdowns. Tha fact stands that people get mad if they hear a breakdown now thinking ITS DEATHCORE! All deathcore can be easily labelled as grindcore becuz it takes more then a breakdown 2 define a genre or subgenre.Same rules apply for Sludge and metalcore. All these "core" genres r just poor interpretations of somebody thinking he did something new, i do not enjoy metalcore nor do i enjoy grind but ironically i like some deathcore

@starbattle226 grindcore is often seen as a joke or prank, almost a praody of deathmetal and few grindcore bands take themselves seriously, giving them a strong hatred, its y they never reach the heights of DM often, if u notice the grindcore bands that do get famous, they dont do gurgles and make 3 second songs on every album and use make up and paint as their only tool. Haemorrhage will always be hated despite being a true example of grindcore, most grind is just people having fun not muscians

@starbattle226 I've never read such a pile of shit. Without Grindcore, Death Metal wouldnt be the same that it is today. Deathcore is Grindcore? Grindcore and Sludge were influenced by oldschool Hardcore/Punk. Deathcore/Metalcore were influenced by modern Hardcore which includes the typical breakdowns you hear in Deathcore. If you start one of that genre discussions, please use correct facts.

@GrindWorm u just repeated my words. breakdowns etc, thats a very thin line for a subgenre, i really cant say anything else besides ur just complaining over nothing now and u agreed with me, thats all there is between grindcore and deathcore, a breakdown and alot of deathcore bands that r labelled as such dont use breakdowns. if u took that away it wud be grindcore, heart and soul. The Red Chord for example, no breakdowns yet still called deathcore.

You should really compare Deathcore bands (better the good ones like The Red Chord or, in my opinion, Despised Icon) with Grindcore bands like Pig Destroyer, Nasum or Insect Warfare. When you maybe see what i mean. Both have a completly different rifiing, different song structures, etc

Seriously, THAT IS MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIMES, right in my top 10 list. Deathcore is just grindcore with breakdowns and monotonous vocals, which isnt much of a genre. Hardcore fans and punk fans are known for making genres over nothing i may add, "horror punk- a genre of punk where the musicians wear scary clothing", and your going to make an entire genre out of that? Basically horror punk is just punk with makeup
