She built bridges between the islands to ease the strain of local trade, she established centers for teen mothers, STDs, organ centers as well as the filippino cultural center. she is bright & opinitive and was a leader. People just conforms with the media's interpretation of the Marcos', especially Imelda. Imelda Marcos did do horrible things however along side these injustices she did such amazing good too. She built bridges between the islands to ease the strain of local trade, she established centers for teen mothers, STDs, organ centers as well as the filippino cultural center. she is bright & opinitive and was a leader. Perhapes people should do their home work then maybe they will see her in a new light

this video is as depressing as the song. Imelda is the most recognizable Filipino. so much so that foreigners are only aware that there is such a country as the Philippines because they know Imelda and her thousands of shoes.
i respect anyone's opinion but the more we say bad things about a fellow Filipino, the more we put down ourselves.

the Chinese has so much superiority complex but i think they would execute anyone who would depict Jiang Qing as a maid.
also, it's not coincidental that they made "imelda" there wear a makeshift BARO'T SAYA just because its her favorite dress. but there is subliminal and sneaky attempt in the video to connect Filipinas with being a maid. (1/2)

1) the dress has to be Filipiniana, the most respected national dress of the Philipines. 2) it shows imelda dancing tinikling. where did you see imelda dance tinikling??? can she be recognized with that dance? i dont think so. 3) imelda herself - personifies a filipina, the most recognizable at that. 4) it has to be a maid - the job of thousands of filipinas abroad.
