  • good job

  • pretty shure that's illegal =/ it blocks youre vieuw

  • IM CONFUSED....

  • NVRMIND .........

  • I CANT TAKE DIS SHIT NO MO

  • GO BCK N REDO THE VIDEO

  • @ 2:01 i cant hear sh!t... ;P

  • Looks too restrictive. What if it knocks loose at 70 mph? A smaller camera might be safe with this setup but not the V570, no way.

  • You might as well take the helmet off and glue the camera to your face LOL!

  • Can you even see the road with that in front?

  • Does the camera press against your nose?

  • hey you think the hd flip can be easier to use & strap in there for your helmet & record some rides?

  • a bit dumb idea... Imagine crashing with a full size digital camera inside your helmet... uft... I have those mini hd cameras, investing in something that will help determine false accident claims and stupid car drivers will think twice about road rage

  • YOU CANT SEE ANYTHING

  • Whats the different between snowmobile helmets and motorcycles ones? Probably less insulation for warmth but just curious is all

  • come on, its a joke??? you are blind !!

  • ah i need the helmet..

  • Are you kidding me.

  • i made a flip cam mount thats super cheap and easy check it out

  • Wooow don't you have a bigger camera to fit in there? There's many mini cameras you can use today, why will you block your whole front and risk to get a ticket with that thing?

  • you stupid boys no visibility

  • great video thanks! check out my home page video video on how I set up the MD80 mini dv camera as a bicycle camera!

  • I dont understand why you would want to put something right in front of your face, partially blocking your vision just for the sake of a video. Madness.

  • if the cops see u with a camera in your helmet is it considered illegal?

  • "hey guys, my name is toby flenderson, and I'm going to show you how to set up your helmet cam"

    :P

  • I'm just worried about it blocking my vision

  • Nice. I love home-made anything. I once turned an Atari controller into a...piece of smoking paraphernalia. Also, has anyone told you you look a bit like Michael Ian Black?

  • GAY

  • very helpful, thank you~

  • @420sthedaytopray Whereas everyone who doesn't ride motorbikes lives forever?

  • @cultofcthuIhu yeah

  • @420sthedaytopray you must drive a prius

  • That's the best way I have seen to mount your cam that I have seen

I take it from the comments removed by author that there is some dumb as s making stupid comments ,,

They just need to get a life !

dont you worry your cam video rocks and your riding ones to

I like to watch other riders and learn a thing or two from them.

I will get a cam soon to like yours as its the best one I have seen yet.

LIve to ride ride to live.

  • hey what is that nose piece called, the one that makes movement of breath go down. I need to get one myself

  • gud idea bro..

  • Nice idea but I'd prefer much more a cheap helmet camera. Like a lot your videos by the way.

  • Keep up the good work...your videos are very entertaining and you seem like a very lighthearted, fun person. Don't mind some of these hateful people on here who live their lives to bring down others.

  • yeah kiss ass

  • @11Rossifumi What's your problem dude?

  • @stiehler1117 Agreed mate..

  • you're nuts! On second thoughts - great idea! Maybe you could adapt the mount to fit a pair of BINOCULARS or a TELESCOPE, so you can see God more clearly when the whole lot goes through your skull in an accident. Also, the camera is a bit small. You should consider some Canon or Nikon SLR with a 400mm lens. God in HD! The pictures would be worth a fortune. Just don't get blood splatter on the lens.

  • lol

  • i mean helmet

  • can you see over the camera??!! :D lol

also can you make this for a dirtbike helem?

  • nice try. Go pro camera's got you beat. Funny vid though...

  • people who think if you drill a hole into a helmet is stupid because the helmet can take one big crash once and if you drill into it it making you more vunrable to dieing because the hole into the helmet will litraly split like an egg because you have drilled into the palstics and fiber and all that stuff helps you so the holes will split the helmet in half soon as you hit your head.

  • It makes it no more unsafe than an open face helmet so its a risk some people are willing to take. I still think a full face helmet with a small hole drilled in it is more safe than an open face helmet.

I hit the ground at 60 miles per hour and busted my visor off. The hole didn't make a difference.

  • Hey man, was just wondering, if you do really get into an accident:

    1. If the camera gets knocked around, will it be recorded or do you HAVE to press the record button to save the clips?

    2. Wouldn't the camera come off in an accident and fly everywhere in the helmet?(Kind of dangerous T,T)

    Thanks for sharing this video!

  • be a lot easier/better to just buy the GO PRO

  • For a full time college student and full time employee for a corporation, I really don't have the money to buy a helmet camera kit that costs over $200. This is a cheap alternative that works well. Bottom line, it works for me. If it doesn't work for you, then go get yourself the Go Pro setup.

  • hey man i wasn't tryin to be a dick or anything. I was actually tryin to set somthin like set up myself until i ran across the new Go Pro wide that i bought.

but if you ever get the chance these camera's are awesome with endless mounting option.

    ride safe and have fun

  • @Skel3tor1 i guess you can use a POV camera now, they are very cheap, can be waterproof and u just wrap it across ur helmet, in the UK they cost around £90, so 65USD, not too bad :)

  • @R6demon08 are you able to record your voice as well on the Go pro?? 'cause I seen it in a lot of videos but you can't vlog 'cause the camera is outside your helmet and you can't talk...or does it come with a mic or something like that??? (sorry my ignorance lol)

  • Really funny,well done.

Just don't forget yourself and actually get on the bike with the camera fitted like that.

  • that thing might put out your eyes in a reck.

Get an external mounting irus, mought it on a alumin or tin sheering pin. run the wire though your helm and have the main cam in your jacket.

    your videos are good.

  • cool that helped me alot for DIRT :)

  • Nice video buddy. Dont worry about all the negative comments from folks. I have received at least 60+ of em, but people don't really understand and just leave hate. Look into blacking out the front areas as they give you a wicked reflection off of the shield when recording. Black sharpie to the sliver areas clear it up NP.

  • Bad helmet setup.. you should probably consult WilsonRyder

  • there's no way of using an ACTUAL helmet cam? you're mod seems a little ridiculous.

  • You use contractions in the wrong place and YOUR profile spells "assistant" incorrectly.

There's no way you can use ACTUAL english?

  • ha. minor typos and or improper use of such and such still doesn't mean im as shallow as you. good try though you pathetic fuckwit.

  • Wow dude, you're a loser

  • Great video man. I have also found the Bell zephyr helmet, of which I use, works with absolutely no modification at all. Very good video 5 stars.

  • These look like Talladega Nights, wen Will Ferrell sale the windshield to a sponsor and place a large sticker across hes windshield, don't mind to insult you but that look retarder

  • Hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No offense taken.

  • is this a really good camera for motorcycling vlogging?

do you know any other cameras good enough to put in a helmet?

    thanks

  • @elchupakabrastube you look retarded when you spell like that....no offense to you just your spelling...

  • Yes really! You should NEVER drill into a helmet that includes fiberglass, carbon fiber, or kevlar in its construction. These can withstand ONE impact only and should then be considered trash, and your hole counts towards that. Yes, injection molded thermoplastic shells can be drilled, BUT you are rigidly mounting a hard object, and even light plastic aero-attachments are specifically made to break off on impact! Your ignorance may cost lives.

  • You know so very little.

  • Why not just modify an old helmet? Find the exact top-center of helmet and drill a hole to insert a screw fitting the tripod mount of most cameras. One could then use nearly any compact handycam.

A small piece of clear plastic taped to the front of the camera will protect the lens. To reduce wind noise, either cover the mic with foam rubber or use a remote mic inside the helmet.

Actually, a small hole wouldn't even hurt a newer helmet all that much and could be plugged when not filming.

  • Drill a hole into a helmet... this is by far the dumbest thing I have ever read on youtube! Your helmet is WORTHLESS if you drill a hole in it.

  • Really, DumbDuck44? Take a look at your helmet and count how many holes between the rivits for the neck straps, vents for air, snaps or mounts for the face shield, and so on. I've seen helmets with as many as twelve holes for various attachments. So clearly one more small, roughly 1/4 inch, hole is not going to decrease the crash effectiveness of a helmet all that much, if at all.

Tripod mounts on cameras accept a 1/4-20 screw, with the length of that screw varying by application.

  • If the Hole is correctly drilled into the helmet, there is no problem...Only if there is a crack..then it is worthless

  • all helmet companies warn you to NOT put a camera in your helmet! you crash the camera can easily cause damage. HJC did a small article on it on their website, dont be cheap buy an actual helmet cam or build one out of a x10 camera. be safe not stupid. just because a camera is light doesnt mean it wont cause damage when you crash.

  • The camera set up he has is safe. I have the same set up. I thought it was dangerous too until I tried it and its very safe. What many do not understand is the camera is ultra lightweight you can hold it with your pinky finger. Also it does not obstruct your vision. Skel3tor1 is correct in what he is saying..I have tested it. Also I have an extra cam if you guys want to buy one its on ebay and also see the vid of it by clicking my name.

  • Would you please repost your video response? Thanks

  • Yeah, sure it's safe. If you don't have a nose!

You say you've tested it. So you've crashed and the camera didn't come loose or touch any part of your face? Because that's what "safe" and "tested" would mean in relation to a helmet.

Skel3tor1: I would recommend measuring the thickness of the polystyrene and padding in the helmet, and making sure you have at least that much clearance between your nose and the camera. And even then, that's assuming your head doesn't tilt up at all on impact.

  • You're geeking out too hard. If he was THAT concerned with safety he'd ride around in a 2000 lb steel cage... a car.

    Fuck off.

  • @shockawenow Wouldnt want it in there in a crash.

  • WTF how do you see anything? that's a total vision obstruction. I'd sew a pouch for it and then black duck tape that on the outside or something?

  • Thanks my friend nice and easy no to bad

be carefull and drive safe.I have a big camara sony F828 cyber-shot

I take a vid driven with one hand and filming

    whit the another... very... friky

take a look in my channel some videos of my bike.

  • dumb! i won't feel bad for you if you die doing that.

i've got a buddy who texts (SMS) while riding with the phone tucked into the tank bra. i say the same thing to him, man. it's just stupid. anyone holding their cameras to film or putting cameras inside their helmets should just get frame sliders and attach the camera(s) to them. wireless mic it if you must speak and ride.

  • how much did the helmet cost and where did you get them??????

  • is that camera expensive?

  • I have a motocross helmet.... I don't know how well this would work with my helmet

  • instead of 'velcroing' it to the inside why not put velcro on the outside and put the camera on top of that. I mgiht fall though.

  • don't want to risk my camera falling off. when your on a motorcycle theres not really any bumps, riding on dirt, theres bumps and the camera would probably fall off.

a helmet cam isn't that important to me

  • Stop being cheap by a dam helmet cam...people that do this shit end up dead...

  • with shuts a big cam it dangerous!

  • how?

  • have fun just be careful man.

  • are you serious that setup is huge how do you see where you are going are you trying to film your own accident?

  • I can see perfectly fine over the camera. It doesn't impede my ability to functionwhile on a motorcycle. Plus, I'd think with 30+ videos that I kinda prove it works just fine. Thank you for your comment though.

  • What kind of editing program do you have for your vids?

  • hey cuz lovin the videos. love yah & c-ya soon.. mandy

  • I looked up this camera and it says it is a digital still camera, how long will it record video, and what does it record onto?

  • It records onto a memory card. The maximum the camera will take is a 1gb card. It's been a while since I've looked at the stats but I believe it's 60-80 minutes of video. The battery will conk out first before you fill up the memory card, lol. But you can buy a generic battery pack for it for like a buck or two, so that's not a big deal. There is a youtube group here that revolves around the Kodak v570 camera.

  • very inspirational, nice job

  • Yeah! :)

  • Five Stars! Awesome setup dude. Welcome to the brotherhood of motorcycling vloggers. Yeehaw!

  • Thanks. You are the reason I got the Kodak v570. Couldn't of bought a better camera. Maybe I'll have as many videos as you one day. ^^

  • I was hoping more people do motorcycle vlogging in different parts of the world... gives everybody a chance to see what it's like out there. Yeah, go for it man!!! I wanna see tons of your vids!
