Also - get some latex gloves to touch them with (so you don't get the oils from your skin on them - it complicates their ability to breathe).

My 1000 did that too when I got them. You need to cut the bag down the length and just lay it on top of the bedding (they get loose easier than we can take them out without harming them).
I recognize that bag - Bentley is the best!
