1-There were not supposed to be Super SaiyanS, as Goku was supposed to be the only one and Legendary. (Frieza Saga was the original ending)

2-It doesn't matter where the series ended, Broly DOESN'T EXIST (movie-only character) so he's no "legendary" Super Saiyan.

3-Goku surpassed Vegeta as soon as he stepped foot on Namek, and Vegeta never catched up again after that (again, Frieza Saga = The orignal ending)

4-Of course Vegeta was the Saiyan prince...
