Another steep winding grade along 101 in Ca is the one between Oxnard and Thousand Oaks... As for the Cuesta Grade, late night travelers have to be weary as not only do deer cross the road but once in a while...so do bears....and that can be messy!
@NightSociety: Thank you! I would like to invite you to watch my most recent videos (US 95 in Vegas, I-15 in Arizona and I-95 in Miami), as the annotation format I use now is completely different from what you saw in this video. I think you'll enjoy the changes, a lot.
Yes, FreewayBrent, Cal has the most beautiful scenery I've seen. These vids bring back a lot of good memories to me, I haven't been to CA in so long due to work. Great job!
BTW, you just passed the Dennys in Pismo Beach where they had that shooting occur on 3/15/2006. However, the scenery between Pismo and SLO looks like the Mediterrianiandue to the fact that the portion of the highway hugs the coast along with the stretch between Gaviota and Ventura.
Very Nice. I really enjoy your videos now that you have a better recorder. Are you planning on doing every major highway in CA (hint, hint). :). I believe CA does have the most diverse scenery in US.

Do you plan on filming the New York Parkways in your next cross-country roadtrip? :)

I know! I love the scenery.
The exit numbers, like in many other states, are equivalent to the mileage. So in this video, I covered 25 miles.

@FreewayBrent Another thing, the local NBC station KSBY is located off Madonna Rd, exit 201 at the top of the hill at Calle Joquain.
